The federal portion is helpful, but the state portion, less so. There were several times while doing state tax entries, I had very little idea what TurboTax was prompting me for. The TurboTax Help was good 50% of the time. I ended up asking ChatGPT lots and lots of questions to get through it. Also, doing a wizard step-by-step to input data and to answer questions is nice for somethings, but not for entering Schedule E data. Whew! What a slog!

Turbotax is great software, and you can tell that they have worked hard to make the process smoother. To this day I will continue to argue that paying $138 dollars to file your taxes when it could be free, and done through the government is still absolutely preposterous in my mind.

I have used Turbotax ever since I started filing my taxes and every year it seems like they charge more and more. They charged over $200 to file my taxes and that was with the bare minimum. You're doing all of the work, but you're paying as if you had an accountant file for you. When you're making under $50k a year paying over $200 in taxes is a lot.

Terrible compared to past years. It didn’t allow ira contributions for spouses, even though the income of both combined qualified. I had to change interest shown from Goldman Sachs because it only picked up 2 of 15 CD accounts. Then it added a line item on the Schedule B that adjusted and removed all of the interest! It didn’t pick up all of Vanguard brokerage information that it should have.

Your system always glitches with forms. For example, form 8379 kept defaulting the wrong numbers in the form. It also kept denying me when I have filed every year. The first question for injured spouse is tricky when it asks for innocent spouse. This needs to be revised. LTC medical premiums also glitched. It does not advise us to input the gross and match it to the allowable premium field or make it less. It kept giving me an error.

Filing taxes is a long, tedious, pain-staking process, but it feels like TurboTax has made the whole ordeal as simple and streamlined as possible. The cost of filing taxes is much higher than I'm comfortable paying, but in a world of confusing tax jargon and convoluted legal processes, filing my taxes with TurboTax feels like the most reasonable option, despite the blow to my wallet.

Its an ok tax service. I was torn between three and four stars.They do make things you don't understand easier by the optional information pop up tabs. And I way went past the time up at the top of the screen and it it did not kick me out as some services do. But... Fees add up fast.. And unless you expect a decent return, imo kinda pricey if you need a live agent to file for you. All in all I must give them four stars. Most of the fees were optional, And they do make it possible to file with little to no knowledge in tax filing even if kinda pricey.

Found the new format more cumbersome to navigate and there was more vagueness to some of the directions. Also, the total amount of taxes you said I've already paid is lower than the taxes I've actually paid by $98. I rechecked the actual amounts of withdrawals paid and they are correct. How is this possible!

no engagement why do you force this it makes everything you do have less meaning i like your product but not when you force this i have not been forced to do this in the past. lets how i am not forced in the future

had trouble with your product this year. Didn't seem like all data (like bank or investment info) was carried over from previous year -- had to reenter a lot of addresses, etc. Also, my institutions are never on your 'download' choices or list (I try!), so it cumbersome to skip through all of that to enter the data myself.
