My info from Quickbooks was messed up when sent over, and it made my income negative 16,000. I didn't notice at first and thought I had a refund for a minute. The basic turbo tax that we still have to pay for should still be user friendly. This year I was able to get customer service without paying for it though, and everyone was very helpful. Giving money to Musk and to El Slavadoran prisons is awful enough as it is, it shouldn't be this hard

I never give 5 stars to anything because there is always room for improvement. However, if I could, in good faith, know there was no aspect to improve upon, I would give five stars. I have used Turbo Tax for years and love that it retains my information from year to year for ease of input, but also as a great record keeper as well. I love that tax experts are at the ready as well as the audit protection...just in case! Thanks Turbo Tax foir another great year and a positive return/!

Overall it worked well. However, I ran into one problem that prevented me from transmitting the return because there was a mis-match between the state and zip code that the return review picked up. But, all of my entries had the correct state and zip. I contacted an IT person, and she suggested deleting one 1099 entry and then adding it back in. After that it worked. It may be that the entry was added with the picture option which could have added some wrong data that we couldn't see or correct without deleting the entry.

It was laggy, it took me through the same steps over and over, it tried to upsell me 30 times, it tried to hide direct deposit so I'd get a stupid Credit Karma money account, it never showed me the right option to mark an IRA distribution as withdrawing an excess contribution. Trash. Horrible. I should never have to deal with this.

The TurboTax live expert support has been incredibly helpful for me when filing my tax returns early in the season. Although the software is user-friendly, it can take some time to locate certain features. The agent was able to provide me with useful tips for navigating TurboTax, which helped me gain insights into my tax details. I truly appreciate their assistance.

I have been using turbo tax since the 90's when it was on a CD. Overall it has served me well. This year it kept asking me to fill out a specific form that I didn't think I should have to fill out. I connected with Jacqueline who was able to figure out the trigger and fix it. It is the first time I ever needed to talk with a live person and it was a great experience. Thanks Jacqueline!

They would not let me access previous years returns to get some of the information needed to E-file this year. There is a very short timeout window, cause me to have to verify my identity around a dozen times while trying to get the documents I needed from the other sources. They require you to upgrade to the premium version (around $130) if you sold some stocks, mind you not enough to have made a difference on the amount I was being taxed. They also offer to let you use part of the return to pay for the upgrade, they will take another $40 as a processing fee. I understand they need to make a profit, but that is excessive, especially because it was $41.11 last year. Additionally, they should allow for more time idle, especially if you need to login to the IRS website to get documents TurboTax/Intuit should have, if you made the document with them.

I self-reported in an effort to save money. Definitely not worth having access to an expert. However, I was prompted to review the same section on my return multiple (at least 5) times, was delivered new forms I had never heard of while filing, and was overall exhausted by the experience. It took me 3 hours due to the constant reviewing that I could not avoid - there were also inaccuracies that I was unable to change within the file, so we will see what happens. I will be filing through a different institution next year.

Major problem filing 1099-NEC that was not related to self employment income. Took me hours to get a very helpful Turbo Support peson to dig into the problem only to find Turbo didn't properly identify how/where to file so that income was proporely reported on Schedule 1 line 8.

I have used TurboTax for many years have always been completely satisfied with the service. One year my spouse challenged me to let a tax company do them to make sure our return was good. Did that and Turbo Tax return was spot on! Love the fact that you can start and stop whenever you need to then return and pick up as needed. Filing is fantastic and you are kept updated all the way through it.
