AI help told me to look for something but not where to look for it never did find it. On the web page got stuck on a field that just kept going around and around in circles finally closed the web page and it was the app and it worked the first time.

Been doing this for years with no problems. Different story this year. I had an issue with one of my 1099 forms. I tried to correct the issue but the software would not let me. I tried over and over again to no avail. Without fixing the issue, efile was not allowed. Bottom line is that I had to mail my returns. I am very disappointed with Turbo Tax.

We've been using Turbo Tax for years and never had any issues until today. For some unknown reason, the program kept doubling various income amounts. We spent about an hour correcting that section. Once we were able to correct the income section, everything else worked very well.

PA return got rejected due to an obvious error in the W2 upload process. The Turbo Tax product makes it seem like they are reviewing the inputs for these types of mistakes but it's just a show. Unacceptable for me to pay for a product to prepare my taxes and for it to miss that.

I have a simple standard deduction return. This version cost much more with Premium the lowest option and an additional $39 per state. There was a glitch with editing Retirement/Pension from 1099-R because only Financial Institutions were options and not State Retirement systems. I had to delete last year's option to add it back as a new account, losing last year's information? The information to load my W-2 did not work on my iPhone, so I had to enter information by hand. Finally, the number of pop-ups offering MAX addition was quite annoying! I have used TurboTax for over 10 years, but I may be looking for another option next year.

I could not add a simple 5405 form since my First-Time Home-buyer credit was transferred to my ex. (IRS rejected the e-file). The "Fix" for the rejection was not as simple as it should have been. The IRS site given by TurboTax also came up in errors. Also, when I switched from E-File to mail in, the instruction page for mailing in the taxes to file did not appear in the file at all, much less in the 1st page as the app said. I could not get a simple answer to these questions/errors, though they should have been simple. TurboTax has been at this a long time...one would think these things would be figured out by now. I don't know yet whether I'll use it next year.

Generally pleased with Turbo Tax - I made a mistake in data entry - and it took awhile to figure out my mistake; but the program kept after me for corrections. Overall a great system - but it was a little cumbersome to make the correction. I strongly recommend the product.

Generally, a great user interface that breaks the complex codes and fields down into easier to understand bits of input. Wish there were more financial institutions available for direct import of various tax documents. The instructions get a little murky when it comes to ESOPs and 1099-Rs. Would also be cool if they incorporated some AI to make suggestions for how you can avoid paying high taxes for the next year. Only saves me about $150 over my old human accountant--the prices could be better and should include state taxes; that's a dumb item to make us add at the end.

I prepared the tax returns myself and it was very easy. I like the ability to import the data directly from the W-2 database as well as from my financial institutions. I do wish that when you add additional income and the refund drops, that the system would tell you - this is the reason your refund changed. In my case I added an additional 1099 and my refund dropped by over $2000 and my taxable income went up by nearly $6000. I realize there are various calculations going on but it would be nice to track changes like that.

Compared to past years the product has really regressed. There were times where I deleted information and after re-entering the data I got different results with the same information. I still don't understand a couple of the numbers in a couple of places and believe they are probably incorrect but had no way to modify. I hate that you cannot see the return forms without generating a read-only version and cannot enter the data directly on the forms if you believe something is incorrect. I used the free version so I guess I got what I paid for.
