I could not add a simple 5405 form since my First-Time Home-buyer credit was transferred to my ex. (IRS rejected the e-file). The "Fix" for the rejection was not as simple as it should have been. The IRS site given by TurboTax also came up in errors. Also, when I switched from E-File to mail in, the instruction page for mailing in the taxes to file did not appear in the file at all, much less in the 1st page as the app said. I could not get a simple answer to these questions/errors, though they should have been simple. TurboTax has been at this a long time...one would think these things would be figured out by now. I don't know yet whether I'll use it next year.

I’ve been using TurboTax every year now for the past nine years I love the software. I love how easy it is to navigate and the prices are perfect. I’m so happy they haven’t raised their prices so long as they keep that up TurboTax will be around for a long time.

Generally pleased with Turbo Tax - I made a mistake in data entry - and it took awhile to figure out my mistake; but the program kept after me for corrections. Overall a great system - but it was a little cumbersome to make the correction. I strongly recommend the product.

If I could give you guys a "0" star rating I would. It's easy to run through the tax prep, but what I hate about TurboTax are the hidden fees. First we are constantly offered to "upgrade" our tax package. When you get to the end, that's where the fees start piling on. An added fee to deduct the cost of filing from my Fed return? $40. A fee to get my funds 5 days early? $25, and that "courtesy" comes with having to accept the release of personal information! You can't skip THAT. I could on the previous 2 requests to share my info with Intuit and "other" entities and companies. What a joke! I understand you have to make your money, but you're making it off the backs of hard working people who THINK Turbo is the way to go to file taxes. You USED to be the cheapest, not any more. Oh, and don't be fooled. OPEN all the disclaimers, all the places they ask you to sign, or when you see the box "DECLINE" - choose "decline" to protect your privacy. Gotta hand it to ya, Intuit, you SUCK.

Unhappy with how often TurboTax tries to push upgrading from one service level to another while doing my taxes. Wasn't very thrilled either that a $40 fee for paying from my return wasn't disclosed until the very end where going back to change it and pay by card would have been an extra 15-20 min process.

This is the second year I have done my taxes with the NEW Turbo Tax. I preferred it when you could go to and see each tax form, but I understand that would no longer be efficient for TurboTax. I was pleased that I did not notice any errors in the program. BUT at the end it demands that a married filing jointly who is buying additional protection have more than one email address which is very annoying. Being able to download from the sources of our income saved me hours and hours so that was the Best.

turbotax is easy and mostly easy to understand what steps i need to take. It would be nice if you didnt have to pay so much to be able to get actual human help when you dont understand something because for most people doing and understanding your taxes isnt an easy thing and most people cant afford to pay the price that is asked to be able to get that help. other than that i love using turbotax.

gets suckier each year. I've already learned to watch out for those "gotcha" boxes where they try to trick you into higher priced add-ons. This year, kept looping me through the same questions repeatedly. Zero help with 1099NEC Several years in a row have to keep editing employer info on spouse's job - won't stay corrected

It took much longer this year, but they didn't miss a thing. They checked with me so many times to make sure I was sure that I was ready to submit. I would have missed so many of my deductions if it weren't for their prompts, questions, and scenario checks. I'm really glad Intuit Turbo Tax checked EVERY situation with me.

I had an unusual occurrence in tax year 2024. I had no idea how it would play out for the IRS. TurboTax identified the situation. I was asked and answered the appropriate questions and continued on my way. My tax payment DID increase but it wasn't as devastating as I was imagining.
