Overall, positive experience. However, when starting to enter deductions, it would be nice to know what kind of deductions are covered by the standard deduction. I spent probably 1-1/2 hrs looking up medical expenses, donations, etc., when I could have just ignored that part and taken the standard deduction up front.

The software kept freezing when I was adding my expenses for my business LLC. It said check my internet connection and try again but every other facet of the TurboTax filing was working & I had other working windows. Ultimately, I was never able to finish my business deductions and had to overpay my taxes.

Many cross-referencing errors due to bad mapping errors from Federal return into NE return. Getting VERY EXPENSIVE to file for multiple states and ONE single investment form for a ($27) loss reporting to IRS. Had to upgrade to PREMIUM for 1 single entry of a 1099-B. May have to reconsider other product next year.

Extremely simple and fast, especially as we've used it for a few years now - actually a fairly painless experience. Very Comfortable that all the right questions were asked and answered, easy to navigate, clear presentation of data - a real pleasure to use...

I have used Turbo Tax for my taxes for since 2010. This year I had the worst experience. I logged into Turbo Tax and did not see any of my past returns and had to enter everything in from scratch. I was kicked out in the middle of entering one of my W2s and during the initial Federal Review I had to enter everything in from scratch again. Things were less intuitive this year and I experienced multiple rework loops and had to recheck the same boxes multiple times during multiple review processes. This is probably my last year with Turbo Tax.

The service itself is good - generally intuitive and easy to use. The constant upselling is awful, the price seems to inflate most years, having to pay for premium just to get access to schedule D is just pure price gouging (I did all the work there anyway), and trying to scam a $40 processing fee for paying using the federal return seems borderline unethical when there is no fee for just using a card. Stop that.

Very easily navigated. Took a little longer than normal because some of the questions were worded differently than TaxAct which I've used in the past. Had to break out costs on Turbo that TaxAct allowed you to just lump together. But I like that this is more detailed. As I get my business going this will make it much easier for matching incase of the ever dreaded AUDIT!!!

So many fees tacked on at the very end before you are set to file, which took way longer than necessary anyways. Had us searching for information we have never needed to file before. By the time we were through we just said whatever and paid because we didn’t feel like redoing it elsewhere but the fees should be disclosed better before sending the return out.

Normally it would not be hard to do TurboTax , but for whatever reason, this year I had a really hard time, trying to correct my schedule C and editing it. As a result it took me an additional 3 hours to fix the error. I had to reach out for help on the Community Forum, whcih still was hard for me to navigate without screencaptures or walk through. I needed to get a live agent in which I was able to share my screen to be able to correct the error. I needed to delete everything and re-enter it in order to delete schedule 4797 on Schedule C of the Tax Return.
