Software walks user through the process logically with appropriate feedback. Asks questions to identify other required inputs. Checks as it goes. Obtains input info where available. It does have some internal "commercials" which are somewhat annoying, particularly when they are repeated and after the user has indicated no interest initially.

Super easy, well explained and recommended to everyone. Thank you for making this free for military, even though I personally think we should pay something for the help from Turbo tax, like a 10% discount would be reasonable. But thank you for giving this free for us.

I had to call for tech support of my K1 data entry because I kept getting a data mismatch. The scrollable form feature was invisible to me until tech support told me to scroll down. The solution was I had to enter 0 which was counterintuitive but made the numbers add up correctly.

I have used turbo tax for the last several years. It walks me through the process step by step. I love that it keeps information from year to year saving me time in retyping it. After putting in all my information (income and deductions) it lets me know that taking the standard deduction is best. Also, everything is transferred over to the state form saving me that headache. I highly recommend using it. It is work every penny and if you file early, you get a discount.

I have used Turbo Tax (TT) to do my taxes for several years. It evables me to do my taxes, both federal and state, a simple procedure. It takes all the guesswork out of getting them done. The price is economical compared to having to pay an accountant to do them.

Constantly charging me and upselling me forcing me to pay more then I should. I went from getting money back to owing money and I don't appreciate that. Next year I will likely look for alternatives to file my taxes. You just lost a potential lifetime customer

Everything was super easy but they didn’t give me an option to opt out for the 25 fee for faster refund in 5 days. For the amount I paid it’s basically the same amount if I paid someone else to file for me and save the 2 hours and half of my time I spent filing my taxes.

Automatic import of tax docs is very helpful, but a little confusing at times. Incomplete guidance on some sections and not a ton of clarity on special situations like down payment grant assistance. It's also too expensive to file using premium features.

Every step of the way, they try to trick you into upgrading to a paid version, signing up for unnecessary services, or "consenting" to share your personal data with marketing partners. They make sure to collect your money before actually fixing any issues, and once you hit a roadblock, good luck. Editing forms is a nightmare, and their AI-powered automated system is completely useless. It misinterprets issues, offers zero meaningful assistance, and leaves you stuck in a loop of frustration. TurboTax isn't a tax service, it's a relentless money grab disguised as one. Avoid if you can, I'm trapped because I've filed with them so many other times.
