I've been using Turbo Tax for decades now, I can't imagine using any other product. It's easy to use, and easy to work thru the filing process. I especially like that many companies are able to download your tax information directly to your tax form.

I thought things were going great this year. However, I was wrong. Turbo Tax started offering to file free for anyone who is not loyal to them. Strike one. Then I am forced to upgrade to Premium. Strike 2. This is because I sold a stock at a loss. The loss was $36 dollars. How much did the upgrade save me? It saved me minus $10.75. This means that the loss would have saved me a total of 7 dollars of my taxes. I had to pay an extra $10.75 for the upgrade. I would rather have given the IRS more money and not gotten the upgrade. On top of all of this, Turbo Tax pushes fees and upgrades on every page. Each year I skip the state filing because my state has an electronic filing online portal. So easy. I think next year I'll go to another firm who will give me free filing if I didn't file with them last year. Then, maybe Turbo Tax will want me back.

TurboTax makes the process simple an easy even if your a moron. And it beats sitting in a CPA's office, who you don't even know if they are a shady mcgrady or not. TurboTax gives you all the breakdowns you need explained to you and let's you know of all the little hidden gem tax writeoffs that may be useful. TurboTax is 5 out of 5 stars and 10 out 10 excellence. I recommend Turbo Tax.

Turbo Tax is quick and easy, but I can't help but feel it lacks a little bit of integrity. Either I am missing something, or Turbo Tax sneaks in expenses and fees without being super up front about it. Is a premium fee something I'm forced to add on? When did they ask me if I wanted it? How come they said I would only be paying them for covering my Federal Taxes, then add on a charge for filing my State Taxes later on? Why not tell me that from the start? The cost is not the problem, it's the overly-friendly system they have designed that tells me it's looking for my biggest tax break--looking out for little old me--then slapping me in the face with a fee(s) themselves. It irritates me every year, yet I use it every year because it's easy. I would at least feel better if the system were to openly tell me I'm a sucker they're going to take money from instead of an everyday citizen they're going to try to help save money for. Geez. Lol.

Overall, TurboTax is simple enough for the average person's taxes. My only suggestion for improvement (and gripe!) involves the payment process: PLEASE display the applicable sales tax BEFORE the final payment confirmation screen. It's confusing to see the price jump (e.g., by $13 on a $200 fee) at the last second, even though the tax is mandatory. Transparency here would be appreciated.

there is a belief that humans have a darkness inside of them. i beleive that is true, my proof is who ever created your program and the board that keeps it runnning. turbo tax creats a anger so hot inside of me that i melt sand into glass. the actual hate i have for your program is something that the bible says you shouldnt have. you are a parasite flea that lives on the back of the rat that is the american tax system. you are a carier of the plague. your program is a digital platform, that some how cant add. you say call us but then an automatic voice tells me to spend more money on you. the evil that your company has made grow in my heart can hardly be described. my wish is that every employee thats not managment leaves all on the same day and has fufilling lives.

So... this year the system kept looping back around to already filled out forms?! Resulting in duplication of entries that had to be deleted down the road. I did the standard deductions, and it was pretty straight forward. In the end they tell some of us, we have to mail in (certain forms) CF-1040 forms but they didn't provide and address?! Asked their system for an address, sending it to Receipts & Control Branch in Austin, TX?! Not sure if this is correct or not?!

I really like using Turbo Tax but it put my INT report from National Financial Services twice and raise my tax due to a frightening amount. Hard night's sleep that night. Next day I decided to go over my Federal forms again and there it was...2 copies of my interest from NFS and I deleted one of them. Thank God I double checked again. How did Turbo not catch that duplicate? It also duplicated my Capital Gains!!! Deleted one also.

I’ve been using TurboTax to file my taxes for over 25 years, and it has never let me down. Despite having very complex taxes, TurboTax makes the process simple enough for anyone to handle. It’s always fast, easy, and incredibly accurate. One year, my neighbor, a CPA with 50 years of experience, claimed he could help me get a bigger refund. Curious, I let him review my tax information—after TurboTax had already calculated my return. To his surprise, everything was spot-on! He was amazed at how accurate TurboTax was. Needless to say, I’ll continue relying on TurboTax for many years to come.
