Also, YOU continue not to pull forward my 1099-R from previous year and I have to manual enter as it is my first 1099-R. Very basic and routine aspects, and you fail to make it smooth. Also stop asking every multiple pages if I want to accept an up-sale services. Don't minimize this and fix a smooth swap of depentant looking for other assistance

Filing for 2024 was the easiest and fastest in some years since it was the last year I worked and then did not even work the full year as I was laid off, so I opted to just go ahead and retire. I thought it was supposed to be a free service - started out that way anyhow. Still, I found it all fast, easy to understand and I am happy I used Intuit TurboTax.

The software did what it said it would for the most part. The frustratinig part is there are lots of little question marks you can hover over or click on but they dont give you any specific information. It just opens a general Q&A box on the right side of the screen and even when you type in the question, it does not give you the infromation on that questions.

TurboTax has helped me learn about some of the more superficial nuances of tax returns w/ their side panels of helpful hints! Over the past few years I learned what things I can deduct or receive credits on through TubroTax, began saving these things in advance, & this year I uploaded everything directly! I finished filing in under 2hrs this year; a new record!!!! And that is saying something b/c I had more W2s, 1098Es, & 1099INTs than ever before. But thanks to years of TurboTax help I actually knew what those all were in advance & came prepared to tackle my return!

TurboTax is a great product. It's nice and easy to use, resources are available for questions and concerns, and it connects with banks to make life even easier! But I wish it were easier to know why I'm being charged the amount I am. They have the advertisements everywhere about filing free, and they constantly barrage you with up-sales, but without ever selecting an upgrade, I'm charged premium. You can see some of the features they give you in premium, but there's no way to deny or reject those. I don't need 24/7 access, I don't need live assistance. If I wanted that, I would select it and pay for it. So how do I decline premium? You can't. I had to do some deep digging to find out that it is because my tax situation requires a form that is not included in the base package. Why can't they make that easier to find out? Just show me in the itemized list that I had certain forms that required the premium package.

I've used turbo tax for over ten years now. I used to pay a professional, but tried one year and got the same result as my tax professional. I love how Turbo Tax guides me through the process, being I'm not a tax professional. I've had to call their Customer Service on two different occasions and both times they were super kind and helpful. I recommend Turbo Tax as I've been a satisfied customer for over ten years.

Turbo Tax saves me $100 each year. Even though our taxes are fairly simple, I used to have a professional service do it. It literally took them about 15 minutes of just asking me questions and having to answer. A few years ago, I used the free service to run the numbers and it was exactly the same as the professional. I've been using Turbo Tax ever since.

This year is the first time I've been disappointed. The HDHP questions were incorrect and it was impossible to fix it. I had to clear the form and start over and the program still did not get it right. It looks like I wasn't covered with medical insurance for all of 2024 when I was.

I love using Turbotax, I have used it for years. The ease of filing taxes is amazing and I love that it helps walk you through each question. However, I do wish that the fees were either lower, or nonexistent like they used to be when I filed with turbotax. I know every business has to make money, I'm not crazy.

Most of the experience was as expected. However, was disappointed with how it didn't handle capital gains allocation between two states. While that is generally a low frequency item, it seemed within the Turbo Tax wheelhouse given all the other minutiae that is covered.
