We have used Turbo Tax for years to prepare and file our tax returns because the program is easy to use, so thorough, and checks and rechecks to insure accuracy. We have never had an issue and returns are always on time and refunds get to the right bank account.

Turbo tax has changed quite a bit from the last time I filed. I don't like that there is no way to get past the part to share your tax information if you do not want to share it. Then the $40 fee to have the processing fees taken out of your return? Why? It's the little fees like that that make this process painful.

The process took more time than needed due to lots of clicking around, especially regarding RMD''s. I also tried to put in Casualty Loss on a vehicle for the portion not covered. Filled in the info, but nothing shows on my return nor does it tell me why it isn't there. Overall more difficult this year. Also, this is very costly and I may not use this next year. $99 + $40 to get my refund?

This was my first time filing with Turbo Tax and while I understand nothing is for free, it would be nice to know costs up front. I started with the free option which then turned into $29, then $49, then $99 with suggestions to add even more product as I went through the process. Overall, this was a very positive experience with the above exception. Just know going into this that nothing is for FREE.

Entering income was very confusing! I authorized Turbo Tax to access my investment bank accounts an extract the tax docs, but I was never sure it have done so! the program kept asking me to SAVE/EDIT the information. i had to enter the info manually! it was never clear what i needed to do! everything else was OKAY!

Tax return told me that I have a carryover without giving me any option to remove it or showing me where it came from. Had to guess at the answers. Really lessens my confidence in the product. I also hate that turbotax lobbies to continue privatization of tax filing.

This was my first time using Turbo Tax. We've always paid an accountant. I wanted to try filing myself to save some money. Turbo Tax specifically told what documents were needed and what line/box to find the information in. It was very easy to use. I liked being able to see my estimated return as I was working.

Used for a very basic return. W-2/1099 Div/1099 INT. Program is fairly easy to use but having to upgrade to premium because of a single treasury bill that was bought and matured in 2024 was ridiculous. The added cost was more than the interest from the bond!

Used it for years and while it’s easy, it never feels good. It’s very pushy about upgrades and addons, no matter how many times I decline. Every year I consider avoiding TurboTax and end up using it anyway because of fear of messing things up, which is the goal considering all of Intuit's lobbying. So yes, three stars indicates I use it, I find it useful, but I wouldn’t say I feel good about using it.

I have never had such a difficult time with simply managing an account. Intuit asks me to update my phone number, and then I attempt to, and then it sends the verification code to my old phone number EVEN THOUGH I'm logged into the account and can access literally everything else. I will not be using Intuit's products again.
