Been using TurboTax to file since I was a teenager, and have grown into a small business owner. The product is still good, but I've slowly watched it get more and more confusing over the years. Filing has become a lot more expensive and TurboTax/Intuit feels like it's constantly trying to confuse you in order to nickel and dime you with conveinence and "live assistance." TT is still my preferred way to do my taxes as a small business owner, but if it gets any more expensive or gets any more confusing, I will be shopping for alternatives.

Very good results again this year. However, still unable to access and print some worksheets, eg., Social Security Benefits Worksheet. Only print available is the return itself. I was able to verify the results but would still like to be able to print the worksheets.

For the first time this year, I noticed a couple bugs. I got hung up while checking the Illinois state return because it couldn't accept my property taxes. no feedback as to why... I had to ignore it and then the complete check didn't even notice it. didn't instill a lot of confidence

Most of the process was good - it made working through my small business/sole proprietorship really easy. But it never prompted me for my IP PIN and then it was hard to figure out how to put in the PIN. I had to call and get help. The help was quick and easy. But I shouldn't have needed it. Something as big as your identity protection PIN should really be on one of the filing screens!

The overall experience was pretty good, but I was really disappointed that TurboTax still hasn't fixed the Form 2210 bug in the software. It's the second time now I've had to use a work-around to get TurboTax to accept the entries. It's a bug that's been around for a long time and no one at TurboTax seems willing or able to fix it.

Overall, TurboTax is a reliable and user-friendly tax preparation software that simplifies the often-complex tax filing process. While the cost and customer support wait times can be drawbacks, the accuracy, comprehensive coverage, and helpful resources make it a valuable tool for most taxpayers. I would recommend it, especially for those who want a guided and relatively stress-free tax filing experience.

You advertise free federal tax returns and then wait all the way until the end to charge $89 for a federal filing. Garbage, absolute garbage. I've used this platform in the past and never had the issue. Although apparently they don't have any of my previous 1099's or return information on file yet I have the emailed receipts from you last year saying "Your federal return has been accepted" Incompetent, garbage. Never. Again.

turbo tax is easy to use. i been doing my taxes here for years and they save your old data but i think its time to look for something else . they are charging a lot to file your taxes . they start by saying is free but then at the end it ends up being a lot . do yourself a favor try the free website from the IRS or look around for free websites they have . next year im going to try something else . not satisfied with turbotax anymore.

Turbotax is if not a necessary evil, a convenient evil. Any utility added is sapped by constant opt-out monetization schemes, attempts to consent to third party info sharing and un-necessary AI integration. Will happily jump ship as soon as possible and you should too!

Would like a few extra options for explaining items so it doesn't keep returning and repeating like some info is missing. Did NOT want the MAX benefit but another thing it's impossible to delete without jumping through many, many hoops and then just giving up and taking it. Poor customer service! I will probably take a look around next year before filing with Turbo Tax, for my simple return, the cost is a bit high when I gather my own info. Plus, the nickname is Me! why do I need to get a new one?
