Everything worked pretty well until I got to the end. It would not let me e-file the Illinois state tax return and put me into a circular loop. I finally had to just indicate I will file Illinois later. I e-filed Federal and Minnesota without a problem. The software did not indicate why it kept taking me back to the beginning of the e-file process - it just took me to the same questions over and over

There were complicating factors this year, since I apparently never actually e-filed my 2023 return through Turbo Tax, and didn't realize it until this filing season. Therefore, My 2024 return kept being rejected because IRS had no record of 2023 AGI, even though I had all the printed documents from Turbo Tax stating it. Because I did pay what I owed to IRS for 2023 and also sent quarterly prepayments for 2024, I was never notified by IRS about non compliance, even though that shows up in my IRS account info. Turbo Tax didn't notify me, either or ask why my return was not transmitted in 2023.

1. you make no provision for sole proprietor-LLC business retune filed as personal return, and as such you create much confusion at the outset as to which turbotax product to choose. 2. Your "Return to where I left off" option with each log in never returns to where I let off and instead endlessly revisits basic input information. Quit wasting my time. 3. Your new required input for RMD amount with 1099-R entry is a waste of my timr and resources. You are the tax experts, you figure out the RMD for each 1099. 4, After decades of turbotax use, I'm ready to sample the competition. 5. You fail to provide an indication of what services/protection are offered for what cost until the very end of the filing process. PROVIDE COST TRANSPARENCY FROM THE BEGINNING.

Search function could be better. Pricing is NOT transparent. I don't recall agreeing to pay $250, plus, plus fees. Once I'd spent 2.5 hours completing the forms and answering questions, I then saw the $250 fee. No email contained the fee and it wasn't presented to me up front. Too late to back out--so I paid the fees.

Love that I am able to do my own taxes. The only issue is the additional expense at the end. When you think, you are getting charged a certain amount, another add on is selected and you can't decline it. If you decline, you will have to get a paper check and that is not right. I think we as the consumers should be able to agree or decline if we want.

The assistance I received from Jerome was incredibly above and beyond what I expected. I wouldn't call it assistance. He basically filed my taxes for me as he walked me thru the whole process and helped me correct everything that I had goofed up on my own.Truly is a tax expert! I can't commend him enough for his help.He was extremely patient with me and I know that was not an easy task! Thanks again for hanging in there with me!.

We will always use TurboTax. It is SO helpful that they pull our info from the previous year to make it easier. And they ask relevant questions that I wouldn't even think about. We are so grateful this is here for us, because my wife REALLY hates tax season already. This gives her a reason to hate it a little less

After using TT very happily for over 30 years, I was disappointed with the new "on-line" version. Every other year TT imports all the info from my prior year return so I didn't have to re-enter the info. TT on-line did not have this option and didn't seem to know anything about last year. Very frustrating. TT on-line did not ask for AGI for spouse for spouse joint return which caused the e-file to be rejected. TT review did NOT catch this simple omission. What's up with that? Based on my previous 30+ years experience with TT, I felt this years TT experience was a BIG step down. Also didn't like them asking to use my info to flood me with marketing text and emails.

i was disappointed that the format was changed from previous years. It was very helpful to me to see last years return entries so that I could compare those numbers with the current year numbers. It also would remind me if there were some forms missing from any financial institutions that I should enter.
