it required me to purchase premium though i did not need it for my tax. i had just losses when i sold ETFs and that cause me additional $50 expense on top of those losses! it's ridiculous. it tries to sell stuff i don't need, like that additional 69 "max", and makes it absolutely unobvious how to remove that from purchase. just money milking machine as the whole tax system.

Turbo Tax makes doing your taxes really easy and that is the most important thing. However they are pretty scummy when it comes to how much you are paying for their product. To even input crypto or stocks, Oh thats $90. Pay with your return, super easy! Thats an extra $40 they dont even disclose until the very end, and if you want to reverse that, have fun going through those 100 clicks again! It is not a cheap product, but at least it is a good product.

Turbo tax is the worst! Liars and scammers! I can’t believe I switched back to this horrible company this year trying to get an advance on my return when that wasn’t even an option one I got to the end like it said it would be! And some how “free filing” turned into $89 and then $89 turned into $129 bc of some “$40 processing fee! What a joke!” DONT USE TURBO TAX!

Don't appreciate the massive upcharge for sole proprietors. Don't appreciate the sneaky $40 processing fee you tried to sneak on at the end to pay for the service with my return. Many people probably don't even notice you slip that on there and what exactly they're paying for. I would happily put the software use payment on a credit card and pay it off with my return on my own later, than pay $40 for a "processing fee" -- criminal -- and of course you don't make this clear to people at all.

It is very confusing and gets more so as the years go by. It is also way over priced for a simple return. Next year I will definitely be looking elsewhere. It should not cost more that $49 or so for a return that has a w-2 and a couple of 1099's and some SS statements. Where does the "Premium" come into play? I have used turbo tax for many years but you have squeezed me out of the market.

Ive used TurboTax for 15 - 20 years. This year was difficult although its the first time I did not purchase the disk and did it straight online. Needed one document for about $2,000 entry and had to pay $129 plus $40 to report one 1099B $2,000. For someone that only makes $3,500 a year this amount hurts. I did 5 members of my family for $130 in the past. I guess I'll need to do better due diligence next year. Thank you Turbo.

Overall, I do enjoy doing my taxes with TurboTax. The only issues I have year-after-year is when I want to go back to complete a section I skipped, the system is non-user friendly. I have to dig around. All of the options ought to be displayed when going back on the system instead of the system omitting sections - disappearing and making them difficult to find.

It's an excellent program because it's easy to use on your own, especially if you use it year after year. You can carry your information over from the previous year, making the process quicker. The software guides you through the entire process and is loaded with information if questions arise.

I love TurboTax and have been a DIY customer for years. They've only improved the experience and explain your taxes in detail every step of the way. I have used TurboTax throughout a variety of situations and it has worked for me each time, including filing jointly, self-employed schedule c, and even amended returns.
