It only gets better the more you use it. There are helpful questions and answers that guide you through. I did not use any of the advisory support offered but have in past years. I just love the way it can pull in the financial information from my advisor.

Reliable user interface. However, when I completed my Federal return, TurboTax said it could not yet file my state return, and that it would let me know when I could do that. I never got notification from TurboTax about the ability to file the State return. When I checked back, the State forms were enabled and submissible. That's a pretty big stumble for a relatively expensive service.

Y'all tricked me into paying $40 more instead of just using my credit card. When I noticed the $40 and tried to go back to change the payment method, you made it literally impossible to get back to the page where I selected the payment method. I gave up out of frustration. Total rip off.

All your information is saved making it easy for you to file each years and all your documents are archived for convenient referral and secure storage you can access anywhere you go. Turbo Tax provides a simplistic layout to make things easier to find. However, some forms on a personal end can be hard to find, therefore maybe since everything is digital anyway finding a way to link to stocks and 401k type things could make this even easier than it is now.

I didn't like the pressure to upgrade to a larger amount for protection. I didn't think the instructions for my PID were not clear which caused me to have to resubmit also, I was almost forced to review. I'm really thinking of another tax service next year. $ 156. for a return is a ridiculous amount

Doing taxes with turbo Tax is like playing a video game: fun, simple and always a winner. Only complaint is if you select a category to enter and then you decide not to enter the information the category cannot be removed. And placing a zero for that category is not allowable.

They are scamming on premium version by hiding other options really well. similarly they almost force youto share data with all products by not adding a skip button. You have to navigate to the next step on left hand side menu, making it look non optional to share data.

I've used Turbo Tax for 10+ years, both personal and business. I like the fact that fields can pre-filled with previous years info, makes filling things out much quicker, especially if things are same from previous year. Only thing I with Intuit won't due is try to up sell to a more expensive version when I don't need it. They need to tell you which product you used the previous year and which is one of the current years is equivalent to the version you used before, since they like to change titles of software. It's a very scumbag move on their part.
