I love the fact that Turbo Tax helps you find every deduction possible. What I do not like is that the price goes up so quick. The free or low price option only allows the lower income and non working class to benefit from it. For those of us that actually work hard for a living or has less free time on our hands to quickly file our taxes, it does not benefit us. I hate that we don't have the option to file our taxes at a low price as well.

I love how easy Turbo Tax is to use, but as a senior with limited income I feel the the cost is higher for us seniors, I would qualify for free tax software if it wasn’t for a very small year payment that makes me file a schedule E. I would recommend Turbo tax to a average wage earner, but not for the older retired fixed income that made AMERICAN GREAT!

Some of the questions asked should have been deemed unnecessary by the software in the initial background question and answer session. Layout of some screens wasn't as intuitive as I would have liked. The program said the process was estimated to take 1 hour and 40 minutes but the actual process was closer to 5 hours.

I spent about 2 hours on the phone with Myla (?) when my Federal return was first rejected because of an error detected in one or more EIN's. A review of the screens for each of them revealed they had been properly formatted (xx-xxxxxxx) but the IRS notice listed each of them as xxxxxxxxx. The Federal rejection resulted in my PA return also being rejected. Unfortunately, Myla didn't have a specific answer for the issue so ultimately we proceed to re-enter each of them again, refiled and both returns were rejected again. I finally decided to file by mail because I couldn't get an answer to why the screen entries showed the proper 9-digit format but the IRS rejected the return listing each of the !099-R's as lacking the hyphen symbol between the first two numbers and the subsequent seven numbers. As a result, after using Turbo Tax for as long as I can remember, I have serious doubts that I will ever use it again particularly because if e-filing doesn't work I have lost one of the major benefits of using Turbo Tax. (Having paid extra to file with Pennsylvania and not being able to do so, I assume that I should be refunded that additional amount.) Finally, I found the new format this year to be extremely frustrating compared to last year when you could go directly to the section you were trying to reach.

It seems every year TurboTax improves the user experience for filing taxes. I was pleasantly surprised with all the new features and smart plugs they had included as well as the ability to explain certain things that we felt we needed more clarification on. Our taxes aren't complicated so using TT is a no-brainer, especially since we used a local tax prepper for our 2023 return and that was a horrible experience.

I love using TurboTax and have used it for many years. However this year, there seemed to have been some changes to the programming or the system overall and it seemed more clunky and harder to follow...not as clear and easy to use. Just some feedback regarding the changes from last year.

The software is easy to use and the guidance is helpful. I used previous versions years ago and found them easier to navigate between the forms view and the guided view. I miss the forms view. It took me a while to find the print function in the tools menu--the help section directed me someplace else.

TurboTax software and Edward Jones software took all (most?) of the guessing out of filling in the required forms. I like the ability to go back to "start" and double (and triple) all my entries. I like the fact that TurboTax also does an automatic check and review of all the entries for both state and federal forms. I didn't like the surprise $35 fee for who knows what! I certainly don't need my refund "5 days early."

TurboTax projected 92 minutes to complete my taxes. It took 93. That's pretty impressive, and more importantly, that's a really quick time for all we have to report. We keep good records which helps, but the import feature from printed documents and data transfers makes filing a breeze. :-)

website is easy to use but is not upfront about costs. It waits until you are halfway through the process to hit you with "upgraded plans" you need to finish the process. Realistically, this entire website is pointless. The government should be doing this automatically without a middle man.
