TurboTax makes things easy, however, it was confusing understanding my actual return. The federal tax seems to be what is presented more than the comprehensive total of federal and state but on occasion it presents the total of both. This did not give me confidence in my filing and I was not clear if I was receiving the full amount of my return or less. For ease of use, I give this 5 stars, but for confusion I take away 1 star.

An excellent program. It does everything that you need it to do. The only thing that I don't like is that it keeps trying to upsell you different add on services. This wouldn't be so bad if it did this one time. However, every time you log out, and log on again to work on you taxes, it ask the upsell questions again. If you can't complete the taxes, as all Federal and State forms haven't been released, it will try to upsell the same services each time.

Instructions prior to starting would be helpful for moving from a dvd product to online -- especially for updating from the previous year. I'd already entered info by hand. Info said you can download, but lose all your work. I did not re-enter all of my info. I don't like not having access to the worksheets and schedules easily during data input. And you cannot simply change a field on a form during the review process. A simple missed state id on a 1099b kept me from completing the review. I had to delete 1099s several times, leave parts of the form blank before the forms were auto corrected with the right state. I had several 1099 forms, but couldn't identity which form needed adjustment. Stating Schwab 1099b, doesn't identity anything when you have 5 Schwab 1099b forms to work with.

I have used TurboTax for several years and this website is very easy to use and straight forward. I have both W2s and 1099s taxes and this website has been able to walk me through the entire process to ensure that I file everything correctly and am not missing anything. Overall, I have a great experience every year.

It was fast and easy. No math , no calculator, no waiting. Most of my information was saved from last year and any new info was either a drag and drop or a quick input, and they did the rest for me. I prefer TurboTax than a tax preparer because it's all online and I'm not having to wait for and pay for a human preparer

Turbotax is telling me I am having net business losses and Marihuana company losses (?) so I need to fill out additional forms and then submit my state return by mail. I do not have these and cannot find a place to make changes to then submit my return. I have already paid to submit my state. I cannot find online help for this.

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and I could not be more pleased with the service that I have received over the years. I have even taken my taxes to be done before to "compare" and Turbo Tax was spot on. I love doing my own taxes and I feel confident that Turbo Tax is doing things right! Keep up the good work Turbo Tax!

I don't know what TUrboTax's problem was this year. It had a lot of difficulty gathering information from a csv as well as a 1099-INT. I had to reformat one and then just enter information in manually for another. It also was not obvious how to change my payment method after seeing that filing with TT taking the payment from my return has a large $40 fee they weren't forthcoming about in the process of selecting that payment method. Not good. glad it's over

The app works very well to fill out information however, I have never been able to e-file ever since I got married. My wife is a Non-Resident Alien with no SSN nor an ITIN and for that reason Turbo Tax does not allow me to e-file and I always have to print and file by mail. If I had another way to e-file, I would use that instead of Turbo Tax every single time.
