While Turbo Tax is quite reliable, transitioning from the download version to the online version is not as straightforward as I expected. A lot of information had to be put in manually. Additionally, TurboTax appeared to generate multiple copies of some forms when I "downloaded" which required manual cleanup. At least on generated form appeared to have a "ghost" data entry that had to be corrected. The product would be easier to work with if, after pausing, there were a general prompt along the lines of "what has changed". When some forms were available on the first pass, more on a second pass, and more on a third pass, TurboTax does not do a very effective job of guiding you where to make the appropriate updates.

After entering all information, including bank account numbers, the system looped through the same review 3 more times; seems it didn't like me not releasing my information to their bank. I prepared taxes for over 40 years using professional software - Turbo Tax took twice as long. Now that I'm retired, I had to find a "simple" solution to filing. This is good for those not familiar with tax prep.

I don't like that Turbo Tax is incompatible with Windows 10. I don't like agreeing to sharing information before being able to continue. I'm sure that I purchased Audit Defense when I purchased my user license but Turbo Tax kept trying to get me to upgrade to max. I liked last year's version. I like how my state taxes are done.

Way too much upselling. I get tired of the constant prompts to upgrade my selection. I feel I have to be very careful what I click on or I might end up consenting to share my personal info with the whole world or have my refund deposited into to some other bank account besides my own or pay additional fees for things I don't want and don't need. I will be using another online service next year.

TurboTax provides a clear, guided experience that makes tax filing much less intimidating. The platform asks the right questions, explains deductions and credits well, and helps ensure accuracy. I liked being able to file from home and still feel confident in the results. Overall, a solid and dependable service

they asked me so many times to upgrade to the ultra pro deluxe max star version of the product. i hope they regulate you out of existence forever and ever like a fairy tale. SO many terrible dark pattern designs are in this product intended to make you think you need to spend money when you don't. Even the rating program is busted and making me mistype every time the stupid ai-generated review topics feature activates.

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 20 years now and have never had an issue of any kind. Super fast and efficient, makes filing my taxes so fast and easy. I recommend Turbo Tax if you're looking for a painless yet accurate way to file your taxes!!

Not sure if it is very accurate for my taxes. It helps me file, but it has issues when there is a mistake made. It asks to fix it and I fix the issue. It does not correct it accurately to read that it is corrected. Not sure why it does not fix the issue when I have fixed it.

I'm not impressed with the on-line version. I would much rather prefer to have a CD to download the tax preparation, obtain updates on-line, file on-line, and have the freedom of knowing my information is on my PC and not being gathered by InTuit Turbo Tax. The biggest negative, was all the ads trying to get me to buy services I didn't need and having no way to close those screens in my tax return. Very disappointed Turbo Tax was also trying to get me to purchase a "5 day earlier" tax rebate. You have to read and agree to processing forms and one of them explained you could file and have your rebate directly deposited into your bank account by IRS for free. You have to "back" out in order to finally get to the screen that allows you to do that. I didn't appreciate almost completing my tax return when there was an update. After the update, my previous return was gone and I had to start all over. At least when I had the CD, that information was always on my PC and I could always recover my tax return. Please next year, ALWAYS, allow that option. This year's cost for your product should have easily allowed this. Don't fix what ain't broke. Lower the cost of your product, please. I did enjoy the prompts because they saved me a lot of time. I also appreciated the information advising what the standard deduction was before starting itemized deductions. This year I realized itemizing was not close to what the standard deduction dollar amount for this year.

I have been using Turbo Tax for 17 years because it is easy to do. This year, I had to do it online and it was miserable, and I can't describe how annoying the whole process was. I had to log into IRS and get an IP PIN, I had to get a credit karma account, and when I was getting the info, the screen would refresh, I guess because I don't have Windows 11. I will just drop my taxes off to someone next year.
