Need forms View

I could not review the print documents until I was I actively filing my return. I could always toggle to "forms" when I wanted to in the Desktop version. I'll probably return to desktop filing next year. I made a phone call for assistance while I was filing. I got immediate and satisfactory assistance.

TT just became like all other greedy companies

While I have been using TT for years, I find that even though I may not use a lot of the certain sections with this form, I am required to use it and I find that paying 125.00 on top of a convenience fee to be quite a bit of money that TT makes. On top of this you continue to suggest pro and max over and over again. I now feel that I need to look elsewhere or just file my own taxes. This company just became like every other company in this world, its all about making more money and getting everything you can out of the consumer.

Serious Deficiencies

More disappointing than ever. For one, you ignore the new WA Excise tax on Capital Gains. Wa doesn't call it an income tax because of potential conflicts with the State Constitution, but capital gains are income on the federal return, and should be regarded by you as an income tax, when supporting state filing. In fact, the info needed to file the Wa State return comes directly from the federal return. Even worse, you declare in large letters: "You don't need to file a Washington State return," when you have the information to know when we do need to file. You could easily create the return, but since you decline that, at least point out to the user that the return must be filed, when the user clearly meets the criteria to file. How much tax has Wa failed to collect because of your declaration, I wonder. Other deficiencies, 1) your description of requirements to file for foreign tax credit, is just plain wrong, or extremely misleading I believe this has changed from prior years, 2) you buried foreign taxes in an "other" category, so trying to find it later to correct it, took a long time (your indexing is poor, or non-existent and use of "search" did not help, 3) in general, access to the actual calculations is almost non-existent, you provide some minimal info at the end, buy why not allow any form to easily be called up for review? In general, I see no improvement in the software year over year, even as AI becomes available elsewhere.

Great User-Friendly Online Version!

The online product is very easy to use and provided excellent prompts to guide you through the process. As a long-term Turbo Tax customer, I'm so glad that I switched from the desktop version. The product's accuracy was excellent in downnloading information from last year's return which was acccessed from my desktop. The product provided excellent support and assistance through the Question prompt.

Pleasantly Surprised, keeps getting better

It took longer thank expected for me to complete and submit. I would be helpful, if the timeframe would be more realistic. Other than that, the interface was good, could be improved, however, all in all, pleasantly surprised by the ease of use and the favorable outcome.

Turbo Tax - Ok but some challenges

I've used Turbo Tax for years and found 2025 to be a little more challenging. For example, some topics, such as federal and state estimated tax payments, were tougher to find, even when using the Search feature. The steps provided were little help to find the appropriate fields to enter info. Another example was a gain on a stock sale. There was a message "Needs Review" but when clicking the box next to the stock and hitting the "Continue" button, it would leave the page and didn't open up the details to view the info that needed review.

My Return Seemed More Complex Than Last Year

It seemed this year's return was much more complicated than last years. but that may have been because I started Social Security among other life situations. Also, last year you provided one state return along with the Federal return, but this year the state return was an additional $59, so I opted to file the state return outside of Turbo Tax.

Tax program was great. Support Was Terrible

My experience was great all the way to the page that said, "Let's get ready to file your taxes" Then is took me 2 weeks of aggravation on my laptop. Then at least 60 minutes with ChatBot administrators and "Expert Accountant" ChatBots for me to get an answer on the phone from someone who said just choose, X option. I was finished 10 minutes later. This last bit of aggravation was TOTALLY avoidable.

go desktop version

This is the first time I used the online version. OMG it is buggy, I had to re-enter info over and over again, if I stepped away to take a break it would lose the info I had just entered. So I had to work nonstop for ~5 hours. Maybe it is OK for folks who have one source of income, but I have a pension, a side gig, investments, etc. Somehow it duplicated 1099-MISC forms, resulting in way too much income. Lucky I caught the error before filing. Next year I will pay extra for the desktop (download) version just like I did for the previous 19 or so years. The web and cloud is not the answer to everything....

Bad experience Need help

This has been one terrible experience! I would swear but it would not do me any good! It failed to save my work and I lost it all. When I reopened it up it just said, oops something went wrong. After reentering it told me there were six items that needed to be fixed because the download from Raymond James did not fill in all the required spaces. Now, because. I do not have all of 2024's AGI you cannot E-file. Toping it off, It won't print my returns so I can mail them at the post office. This was much better when it came on a disk!
