It was really confusing when you were giving me a deduction of the Qualified Business income. I didn't have any business income as far as I knew. It would have been helpful if you would have called out that you can get this if you have information in Box 5 of a 1099-DIV form. I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure that one out.

I was strongly told to use online instead of the desktop version ,which I used for decades. It was a mistake. The user interface is terrible. No easy-step. I am retired without a W2 but have income from SS, pension, and IRA distributions. My issues: I was able to use last years TT filing to populate the 2025 filing. Good. but then it couldn't find my 2024 AGI to help e-file! it successfully downloaded my 1099 brokerage statements, and remembered my 2024 charities and other things, but it didnt ask me about my estimated tax payments. It was pushing me into review without entering these! you could see I did est tax payments in 2024 - why not ask me for 2025? and then it was difficult to navigate to est tax payments. no search, I had to ask Google! On the Michigan tax filing it asked the dates of Roth conversion. Okay, but then it asked for the conversion date of my private pension. It is not a conversion and there were 12 monthly payments. something wrong here. I need to go back to desktop or drop TT altogether.

I came into this year with a pretty complicated tax situation, and TurboTax Premium handled it far better than I expected. TurboTax is like running a marathon where the finish line keeps getting moved—by the app itself. After carefully entering my information for the nth time, I reached the final page… only to be told I couldn’t continue. No explanation. No fix. Just a digital shrug. For multiple days. Each time, I was forced to start completely over because TurboTax apparently believes in reincarnation, but only for unfinished tax returns. It teased me with the promise of “sign and submit,” then pulled the rug out like a bad magician. If frustration were deductible, this software would owe me money. Efficient at collecting fees, wildly inefficient at actually letting you file. A masterclass in how to turn a simple task into a recurring nightmare.

I've been using Turbo tax for over 15 years. I hate having to go online instead of putting a disc in to download the software. I used it last year 2024 and was able to send the information for 2025, however when finishing my 2025 taxes it failed to find my 2024 taxes. I had to reply I used another service. The disc lets me work and go on my numbers at my speed, but the cloud TurboTax shuts down and I have to keep signing in again and again, ECT... I have a Window 10, I couldn't down load the Premier TurboTax and I had to waist time and fight for a refund. Please bring back the disc, if my computer dies I can't download old years to keep my tax information and numbers I had put in.

I did chat with an expert to get an error check. She was very helpful and efficient. They features of Turbo Tax are amazing, how they can connect with your financial institutions, and upload your documents. There were a couple of institutions not listed, but it allowed me to request that they be added. This was my first year, and I will definitely be back next year!

TurboTax has been our go-to for years. Dating back to the days of 1040EZ's up til now with complex tax situations. Between itemizing deductions, charitable contributions, childcare expenses, depreciation questions, and income coming from multiple sources, the software consistently asked the right questions and explained why it needed the information, not just what to enter. What I appreciate most is that TurboTax doesn’t assume a one-size-fits-all filer. It caught nuances that are easy to miss (caregiver rules, nonprofit-related expenses, deductions that apply even when itemizing) and flagged potential issues before they became mistakes. The explanations were clear enough that I felt informed, not panicked, which is saying something during tax season. It’s not just data entry; it actually feels like guided decision-making. For anyone with more than a basic W-2, especially families, nonprofit leaders, or people juggling real life, TurboTax is worth it. It is compatible and user-friendly.

Ive used Turbo Tax for several years. My experience this year was absolutely HORRIBLE. To the point where we may not use it next year. There were countless glitches where it cycled me through the same screen repeatedly, It wouldn't accept information that I went back to correct things, it double entered my 1099- NEC which confused the system causing further glitching. At the end, in the review, I had to fix a vehicle deduction manually, even though I'd gone back and re entered that information in the program 3-4 times in an effort to fix it. I had gone back to fix it through the program bc in the review I was unable to fix it, amend or enter in any information that it was asking me. My totally time logged on Turbo tax per the timer was over 7 hours but 2+ of that was fixing errors or re-logging in information due to glitches in the program. It was an incredible waste of time and I'm EXTREMELY disappointed and frustrated. I would not recommend this software to anyone, and will likely find an alternative next year. I'd like a refund for my money and wasted time.

I used to file with TurboTax in the past, and then I moved on to other services when they did away with free e-filing of Federal taxes. I decided to use the service again this year and pay, but I was deceived because I had to open a checking account with Credit Karma to get free direct deposit. That was not cool. And it is not disclosed anywhere until you have made the payment for the filing.

Being a single that works for myself, owns my home with real estate taxes. I pay every type of insurance premium that there is, have high medical bills and lots of business expenses. I worry every year about how the new laws will affect my taxes and how hard it will be to figure everything out and do my taxes myself. But, every year TurboTax impresses me even more by walking me though everything step by step and taking the stress out of the process.
