I have used TurboTax Desktop for the last 10 years with no issues, but switched to online this year and had so many issues. I ended up having to delete the State Return and start over, but in the end I think it was that their software wasn't ready. If the software is not ready to use, there should be a note mentioning that to avoid us early birds losing our mind in frustration.

TurboTax is super easy to use! It follows up on every aspect of the tax filing process. They offer support, live support for it's customers in case you have questions or get stuck. I've used it for years now and it's always been a easy and quick process to file taxes.

I've been using turbo tax for 15 years and the tool gets less and less advanced every year, hiding full control over your own tax filings behind difficult to find UI sections, "interview" conversations, unhelpful AI suggestions, or completely removing options from the experience. This year was particularly bad with aggressive and borderline deceptive "data sharing" requests masquerading as official filing authorization that will likely catch quick a few people in their data scraping net. This is the last year I will use this product.

TurboTax makes it easy! There's always hints if you don't understand something. I've used TurboTax for several years now. Way cheaper to do it on your own instead of paying these major corporations to file your taxes for o who don't even tell you about all the deductions you could use.

Turbo tax has made it more difficult each year. I have been doing my own returns for 20 years or better and this year was the toughest. Even though I had a relatively simple return ... it took forever. Recovering last years return was impossible for the last 2 years. Quit saying that you prepared my return FREE when I paid $44 for the download.

I came into this year with a pretty complicated tax situation, and TurboTax Premium handled it far better than I expected. The accuracy of the calculations gave me real confidence as I worked through multiple income sources, investments, and deductions. The guidance was clear at every step, and the explanations actually helped me understand why certain choices mattered. I never felt lost, even when the topics got technical. The interface is clean and intuitive, which made the whole process feel manageable instead of overwhelming. From start to finish, everything worked exactly the way it should, and I felt fully supported the entire time.

I cannot believe how outrageous TurboTax has become. I tried to file a simple W-2 and standard deduction return and suddenly they forced me to pay $138 just to file because I had old capital losses from last year which have nothing to do with this year. Then they asked me to pay $35 to deposit my own refund into my bank account. TurboTax is no longer about helping people file taxes. It is a money-grabbing machine that preys on anyone trying to do the right thing. Do not trust them.

I had a miserable time using TurboTax this year. It feels like you are just trying to push your premium services on customers. Too many useless features bloat the website. There is no option to skip filing state taxes until you get to the end the process. Very annoying! I don't think I'll be returning to TurboTax next year.

Not great. I purchased the one to do on my computer but it made me do the online version. At the end, I never received an option to print out the whole copy for my records, only part that popped up to print was the 1040-V. I had to look up Military pensions online to see if they were qualified or non-qualified. Another thing I had to look up on my own was what a 2210 was. Another problem was that the previous year turbo tax form was supposed to be stored on my computer. I found the file but online turbo tax said the file was corrupted. I have purchased TT for 5 yrs now. Had to type all info in.

Easier to use online and I like not waiting for updates for desktop version. Downside is no details or analysis including only the forms right before filing, I had to enter most details for first time and no year-to year comparison. I'm assuming the last two will not be an issue next year.
