Generally good, but had a very frustrating "review" error that was very difficult to resolve. On the Federal Review I had an error: Person on the return worksheet (my child's name): Enrollmentstatus must be entered. I had not claimed any education credits since I didn't qualify. When the review flags and error but doesn't link to where in process it was generated it leaves the user in a very difficult position. This error would not point back nor mention which form may have triggered the error nor take one to the "form" it would populate with the information.

It was fairly easy except for the fact that it was difficult to enter an estimated tax payment I made. The online help gave me an incorrect answer (asked me to select an item in a scroll down that wasn't there). I called th Intuit help line and Susan was able to get me to the right place, but it should be easier to find and I shouldn't have to call. You need to fix your online help on this item.

Every year I feel Turbo Tax gets harder and harder to figure out. It used to be great. Now, the interface is confusing and not easy to navigate. For example, adding Other Income doesn't have an actual selection. You only find it later, when there is a review. I also don't like how hard they push the more expensive products. They almost try to trap you into selecting the more expensive products.

TurboTax is good at what it does. It handles complicated tax situations well, walks me through each step clearly, and explains what is happening. What I don't like at all, are the numerous "dark patterns" where it tries to trick you into upcharges or sharing information by making the consent look like a required step. The option to skip is usually buried somewhere, sometimes even inside a menu. That's no way to treat your customers!

The "on-line" web process was more difficult than using the purchase Turbo tax item from the store and I wasn't able to look at individual forms or completed forms until the very end after I had to purchase the software. Also, the on-line version was a lot more expensive and especially adding the state version .

I just spent over 12 hours battling the TurboTax online experience, and I will never use this service again. As a nurse in California, trying to apply standard state nursing allowances was nearly impossible without an outside guide. Instead of being helpful, the built-in AI constantly flagged "mistakes" that it refused to fix, creating a loop of frustration. It felt like the system was designed to sense when I was struggling just to trigger aggressive pop-up ads for their "in-house experts." It is predatory to gate-keep basic functionality behind a paywall of upsells when the software you already paid for fails to work. If you have a professional license or specific state deductions, save your time and your sanity—use a different service. TurboTax is no longer a tool for the taxpayer; it’s an upsell engine.

Long time user (decades)...always considered product excellent..this year, noticed a significant issue...system never asked for estimated tax payments...only was able to do so by searching for the topic...hugely material obviously if someone misses out on reporting their estimates. Diminishes general confidence in product. What else are you failing to ask users??

I've been using TurboTax to file my tax return for many years. Somehow the questions the tool asked me this year became very confusing comparing to prior years, and many times the situations I have are not directly listed in the options to select. In addition, the transactions that the tool pulled in from the bank are missing information. I had to ask AI many clarification questions to complete my return this year. The tool is supposed to be designed to guide someone without intensive income tax knowledge to complete the filing effectively and efficiently, however I found that it was heading to an opposite direction, hopefully the intention is not to get people to use its expert version.

i WAS TOTALLY FRUSTRATED BY THE DATA ENTRY AND CHECKING PROCESS FOR ENTERING THE 1099DIV AND 1099B. THE DOWNLOAD DIDN'T WORK PER THE INSTRRUCTIONS. THE UPLOAD ONLY PARTIUALLY WORKED. EDNDED UP TYPING IT IN. i HAD MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS IN THE SAME INVESTMENT FFOR MY WIFE AND MYSELF AND IT WAS IMPOSSIBLEE TO DETERMINE WHICH WAS CORRECT AND VERIFY THE ENTRY.

It was easy to use! I'm a return user who hopes TurboTax never goes away. No worries, goes straight to the point with what it is asking you to input and explains every part of the forms. I am really happy to use this awesome software. See you next year!
