The importing feature was very helpful. The on-line format, which I used for the first time was enough different, that I had several problems navigating. I assume next year will be easier. The stock sales was particularly challenging, as the import included only the header information and not the sales figures.

I paid $95 for the desktop Turbotax soft ware after i was promised certain features would function there. It was terrible. I wasted several hours trying to navigate it (terrible software) then switched to online where i had to start over. The best selling feature of turbo tax is the auto upload of expense data and auto sorting write offs, but that didn't even work. Very dissapointed overall, will be switching back to FREETAXUSA. Also i hate turbotax for lobbying the gov to discontinue the gov's do it yourself tax site

Too much time wasted with useless questions. When customer states "Standard Deduction" there is no need for anything else. It's vastly irritating, wastes time and raises blood pressure. When customer already has an account, filling it in again is really a time waster and honestly, demonstrates your IT staff isn't the brightest bulb in the circuit. Show filed information and ask if it needs to be changed. Page display sizes are inconsistent. I've done better with an HTML manual open next to me and fat-fingering the code. Scrolling back and forth across the width of the page is in-excusable. It's VERY BAD FORMATTING. FWIW, I use Firefox. It's not as if nobody uses it. Learn to code for it, millions of others can, your firm should be able to also.

The state program did not enter my estimated taxes that I paid even though I reported it at the beginning of the interview. The actual place it would be entered into my taxes never would come up on the menu to the left. I spent hours trying to get to where I could enter it. Really bad transparency of this program. I don't think I will use turbo tax again.

There is an issue with entering a w-2 from the state of california. When you receive two w-2s from the state with the same tax id #, you can't e-file because it states there is a duplicate w-2, which is not the case because there were two different amounts in box 1. There should be some way to override this "fix" message. I had to print and paper file, which I did not want to do. Now our refund will take longer

Very frustrated that TurboTax could not download information from one of my financial institutions. It took me much longer to file than in previous years, and introduced an inaccurate piece of data that was hard for me to figure out how to correct because the program didn't take me back to the place to edit it. I like the old appearance and format much better than this new one.

Turbo tax has become the worse version it hs ever been. After this year I do not plan to reuse the service ever again. The prices are not accurate, you force upgrades that users can't get out of, you input false information on my return delaying me by over a month for files that do not exist. The worst experience I have ever had in my 5 years of service with turbo tax. I will never recommend your service to my friends and family again

We decided to use the online version after buying the desktop version. The experience was nothing short of confusion. You can't easily find the IRS form that has been filled in. It's difficult to navigate because you have to start from the 1st page of each subject if you're looking back in confusion, or for accuracy. The tax due/owed on the online version didn't keep updating. At one point you guys said we'd get back WAY much. When we finally found the IRS 1040, it showed around less - which was more than we expected, but at least we now saw some dividends that hadn't been accounted for when not looking at the 1040. I hope you guys keep the desktop version. I kept having to "buy" for $0 to be able to save my return. I still haven't figured out how to save a secondary .tax file on my computer

Turbotax software is something form the dawn of the Internet age. Clunky, bad UI, full of glitches. My Oregon tax return was repeatedly rejected. Due to Turbotax software issue. Despite resubmitting multiple times, OR could not validate our ACA / Form 8962 structure. Triggered by linking / structural issue inside TurboTax! And Intuit actually has the audacity to charge me money for this tax software.

It is annoying how much your service costs and if I am not on my toes, you would be adding additional costs to me. I did not ask for expert advise, but I was charged. I had to resubmit - but that is frustrating to people. I appreciate the 20% discount, however, I have been doing this for years with Turbo Tax.
