This version was frustrating to use (compared to version purchased in previous years). Although at start of the process it transferred data from prior Turbo Tax years (I used Turbo Tax for at least the last seven years), when it came time to e-file, it said I had not used Turbo Tax to file last return. That makes no sense to me. That made me track down prior filing. Second, I got caught in a perpetual loop in which, when I declined to have the Identity Protection, I had to re-enter (or at least go through) e-filing data. This happened three times. Only by signing out, and then reentering the data a fourth time, did the program go beyond the loop. The Help tab did not provide much help or explanation in that situation. Third, It is all e-file, or all mail--there is no ability (as far as I could see) to have some returns mailed in (like PA, which requires certain info to be included with the return, like a list of all trades generating LT and ST gains) and some e-filed. Turbo Tax does a good job, but this year was much more frustrating than years past--I suspect it was the rigidity of this on-line version that was the problem.

this years version was much more glitchy and much less user friendly than prior years. Review buttons kept sending me completely back to do the section over instead of being able to review what had been entered. had difficulty importing direct from institutions so I had to download and upload. and the pop ups asking me to upgrade every 2-3 steps were super annoying. Next year I'll be looking elsewhere after many years of turbo tax use.

It's great that there's a platform that lets you do this from home, but as the years go by of me filing my taxes here, it gets more and more click bait-y and doesn't seem to really help that much with the State return. I could have totally messed something up because it helps so little with understanding what it's telling me to fix. It also has hidden charges near the end that you don't have to pay but it tricks you into trying to. I'm going to someone in person next year, I can't be bothered.

It isn't as intuitive and as easy to use as previously. It really let me down on the foreign income. Verry cumbersome. And the program asks too often about buying additional products from Intuit. Ask once, that is enough. It makes me ask, "are the other tax programs friendlier".

I've been using TurboTax for decades now. I started with CD's, then downloads and now online. It's been super useful and acucrate. At the same time, this year's version seemed more disconnected than previous years. Pulling info from my banks was more cumbersome (it appeared that you and the banks - more than one, weren't having a good communication). I had to repeat a few times and inn some forms I had to enter data mannually.

1. Frankly, nowhere near as easy to jump topics as download version - especially to look at one particular form. 2. The logic drove entering stock dividends both by electronic and manual entries -- thus double entered. Thinking about this caused me to go into Schedule D directly to spot that. Otherwise, my filing would have gone in with double dividends and double tax withholdings...

Some of the features worked well, some were difficult to navigate. One of my chat questions gave a response that was not compatible with the software interface options available. One of my input options did not work as expected since I wanted to type my own information and was not able to get to the page to input information forcing me to download the information. Once I was able to get all the information loaded, the forms were completed accurately.

I have used TurboTax for many years, probably around 20 years and for the most part it's always been a good experience until this year (2025 filing). There were imortant items that I needed to enter but couldn't find, and had to do Google Searches to find answers. I had a form to fill out that translated it to a different form so I don't know if it's right or not. There was a major glitch in the software where I had to call for help. The firs representative had no clue what to do, but refused to transfer me to a supervisor. When he finally did, the superviser was great. They couldn't figure out what the software error was, but found a way around it. This will probably be my last year with TurboTax. Even this review form has troubles with my typing and entry. They really dropped the ball.

I moved from VA to NYC in 2025 and no matter how I allocated my income or number of days, the New York State Income Factor would not change from near 100% down to the accurate percentage around 50%. I therefore was forced to pay $2,535 in state taxes that I did not owe in order to file my return on time. I tried everything to allocate correctly.

I have used Turbo Tax quite often in past years. I trust it is the best software but am becoming doubtful. When I began this return, there were many things mentioned as far as new items that may help with my filing but as I worked through the return I did not see any of them.
