i have been using turbo tax for years but this is the first year I did it strictly on line. Without the disc that I imported onto my computer. For me there was a bit of a learning curve This version was formatted differently but when I had questions I asked the AI on the app. All my questions were answered and directed me to where I needed to go.

We were prompted to review a section for our federal form and we did. There was no way to signal we were done with the review (we found no errors) and TurboTax kept telling us to review the same section. We finally ignored the prompt to finish our taxes.

User friendly and relatively efficient. The time taken was reasonable. One suggestion is that you need to inform filers that if they have a 1099 along with a W2, that they can enter this 1099 information only by paying the extra fee and you need to state this upfront.

TurboTax is loaded the traps, pointless upsells and money-grabs. The screens and information is actively misleading. It's almost impossible to find the free version mandated by federal law and the prices are not clear - each question you answer may or may not trigger an upsell to a more expensive version of the software. I support legislation to abolish commercial tax filing software and you provide countless examples of why it holdbe dopnme . Even this stupid form is intrfering witmy typing and flashing pointless 'review topics' soft pushs.

TurboTax makes it as easy as possible to file taxes through its use of targeted questions and saved information from prior years. It seems to be accurate, and I really appreciate being able to complete the process fairly quickly as long as I have my key documents organized. Thank you!

After 20 years of using H&R Block software, I switched over to TurboTax. This was an absolute terrible experience. First of all, unlike every other program that I wanted to run on this computer TurboTax is unique for requiring Windows 11. Not willing to purchase a new computer, however, they offered me a federal and state return online. The experience has been excruciating as I know something about taxes having been an associate accountant at a CPA firm. I appreciate the fact that the vast majority of people using the product will not need the kind of granular control which I was looking for. I had a long-term loss carryover and simply, the system wouldn't let me put it in as the sale didn't happen this year and I didn't have that sale on record with TurboTax from 20 years ago. It's not a lot of money, but it still wasn't worth it going out and buying H&R Block software to make just this one correction when I'm just about to finish. Let's just say I'm not happy and if I can find my way out of using TurboTax for next year I'll switch back to H&R Block.

Easy to use, the auto transfer from submitted documents makes submitting information faster and more accurate. The "File now, pay later" page is a little misleading; I did not realize that I should select the "Other options" tab if I did not want this payment plan. Fortunately realized my mistake and corrected my error.

TurboTax Premium made filing my taxes much easier than I expected. The step-by-step guidance was clear, and it helped me catch deductions I would have probably missed on my own, especially with multiple income sources. The interface is straightforward and walks you through everything without feeling overwhelming. I also liked how it explains things in plain language instead of tax jargon. Overall, it saved me time and gave me confidence that my return was done correctly.

Overall, a good experience. For the past two years I used the desktop version and did not have any issue in transferring my data from the prior year to the current year. This year I used the online version and was unable to transfer my data. Somehow or another I wiped out what I had last year. May have been user error, but like i said - no issues in past years. Not a big issue as my return now is pretty simple. I would have been quite upset in earlier years as my return was quite complex.

After many years of using Turbotax i found the new version that keeps wanting more money for other features annoying. The inability to transfer my last year's tax return into this year's return was frustrating. There were also no clear instructions on how to make a tax.2024 file to transfer my saved Turbotax filing from last year into this year's.
