I have to pay an extra $40 to use my tax refund to pay and then another $35 if I want my money sent to my account as opposed to going through Credit Karma? That's ridiculous. Furthermore, disqualifying people from the free version for literally any reason at all and forcing them into the most expensive product because they did gig economy work is severely messed up. I will be looking for alternatives next year for sure.

I have found TurboTax User Friendly, Easily Understood and Thorough Tax Topics, Successful at Finding Additional Tax Breaks, Continuously Saves Entered Data, and so much more. TurboTax is my "Go To" every single year I will continue to be a happy customer and spread the word when the opportunity arises.

Was getting an error that I couldn't clear. Instructions via AI were inaccurate. I spent probably an additional 2+ hours trying to figure out what/where this error was being triggered. I was considering clearing out all information and starting over but even had issues finding that option. At the end, the cost I was charged was higher than I was expecting for option I selected. I was not able to get back to the screen with product options to confirm the pricing. Very frustrating process!!!!

I tried filing electronically and had to request a support agent twice because it was rejected. 2nd agent explained it's a software issue related to my 1098 form for my home's mortgage interest. I know have to print 44 pages and file by mail. Very disappointed in the product experience this year.

I wish you would have told me to use the summary method instead of having me import my brokerage accounts. I spent five hours and couldn't complete my NY non-resident form. It needs a lot of help for people that have NY withholdings from a prior year but didn't work in NY for the entire tax year. "Taxpayer is a resident of Texas and worked exclusively from a primary employer office located in Plano, Texas. No work was performed within New York State during 2025. NY State wages were reported in Box 16 of the W-2 in error due to automated payroll estimations. This return is being filed to claim a full refund of taxes withheld in error."

The software did not prompt me for estimated payments that I made nor the schedule 1-A entries. I saw the numbers didn't look right on viewing the return and had to search for the errors. I recommend that users prepare their return manually to get a sanity check as to whether that are any errors. I mainly used the software for the eFiling and capital gains calcs which it did very well. The print button is buried and was hard to find. The AI support query was very helpful in solving my issues. The state return entry is integrated very well.

TurboTax gets harder and harder to use ever year. It should remember forms I filled out last year but instead I have to go searching to enter them. I use to really like it because it was dummy-proof, but now it seem I need to know more than TurboTax to get it done correctly. Also is difficult to revisit a section without answering the same questions over and over.

In the past it was easy to see where to include estimated tax payments. This time I had to search for quite a while before I found it. I was basically done and realized I was never asked if I had paid estimated taxes. I'm not sure why it was so obscure. It would be helpful if it was a specific question for anyone who is a 1099 employed. Everything else was great as usual!

The online TurboTax is horrible compared to the downloaded version. I only used it because TurboTax forced me to by making the downloaded product incompatible with Windows 10. There is no way to add supporting details, such as showing calculations that lead to an entry. They also make it very difficult to see the actual tax forms, while also making it hard to quickly check a particular entry without enduring endless dialogs.

You make filing taxes easy, great job! However, several questions to up-sale something or obtain permission to share information are placed in such a way that only very detailed oriented and smart people would be able to avoid them. That is not nice.
