It was great, but the way you handle voided 1095-A is terrible. If you say you don't have (because its voided) the file gets rejected. If you say you have one and put the amounts in (even though its voided) you pay additional taxes you don't owe. If you put blank or zeros for the 1095-A, the system sees an error and will not allow you to submit. Extremely frustrating.

TurboTax makes it as easy as possible to file taxes through its use of targeted questions and saved information from prior years. It seems to be accurate, and I really appreciate being able to complete the process fairly quickly as long as I have my key documents organized. Thank you!

The process was relatively easy. All numbers were accurate to the best of my knowledge. I did not have any technical problems with the program. I had a problem with taxes being paid to the wrong state but TurboTax was able to figure it out. Overall a positive experience.

Enormously tough sledding this year. I wished to e - file, had recently moved homes/offices and could not get my hands on my 2024 Federal Tax Return, but in order to e file, I had to figure out my AGI from 2024. The request comes at the 12th hour, as it is tucked into the final survey question. I would suggest you alert the consumer to this requirement at the start of their compilation.

We decided to use the online version after buying the desktop version. The experience was nothing short of confusion. You can't easily find the IRS form that has been filled in. It's difficult to navigate because you have to start from the 1st page of each subject if you're looking back in confusion, or for accuracy. The tax due/owed on the online version didn't keep updating. At one point you guys said we'd get back WAY much. When we finally found the IRS 1040, it showed around less - which was more than we expected, but at least we now saw some dividends that hadn't been accounted for when not looking at the 1040. I hope you guys keep the desktop version. I kept having to "buy" for $0 to be able to save my return. I still haven't figured out how to save a secondary .tax file on my computer

In the beginning, the features are listed and it says you have audit support if needed. At the end of the return it says you have to spend ANOTHER $79. on top of the $139. already spent. false advertising. Explanations of reasoning during return didn't make sense. "you don't qualify for the EIC because your earned income of $42035 is higher than $50434" ???? When I went to school 50434 was higher than 42035. Also it said there were no qualifying children and there was 1 qualifying child. The only reason I didn't switch to another company it was April 14th. During return multiple questions are asked more than once. Questions after return is finished should be asked before that point, especially for accuracy.

The system missed an incredibly obvious error in our Virginia returns. It asked how much income "you" (seeming, based on past questions, to mean "Nathan" and not "Gailynn") made in Virginia. It imported the amount of income that I, Nathan, made in Virginia. I did not notice until the second-to-last step that it in fact had been asking about BOTH of our incomes. The system absolutely SHOULD HAVE CAUGHT this, because it calculated a NEGATIVE income in Virginia, which is obviously impossible.

It is a learning experience which is challenging, but it went well! The hardest part was getting my IP code from the IRS/ID.me! Additionally, I would suggest you have an opening statement detailing what has changed from the year before so we are ready for the new wrinkles so we have not gone to the trouble of pulling unnecessary information or go looking for something we think might be missing but is not.

TurboTax is simultaneously amazing and frustrating. In some ways, I feel like it used to be a better product. In particular there are far too many questions which are obviously just learning about the user instead of asking questions necessary for filing one's taxes. Also, redoing things at any point wastes a ton of time because the app forces you back through many things you've already answered. For the first time ever next year I'm planning to try a different product. BTW, this feedback form is almost unusable, at time the Review input doesn't function properly.

The Interface and Features are functional, but they exist because the company spends millions to ensure a simpler government system doesn't exist. The Accuracy of the software is fine, but the Support for the American taxpayer is low because the company lobbies against the IRS Direct File program. While the Compatibility with various tax forms is high, the cost of these Features is an unnecessary burden forced on us by corporate influence. This product represents a paid solution to a problem that other countries have solved for free.
