The 2025 program is far from intuitive. Much more difficult to use than previous years. Would prefer to see the forms as they are filled out as I go. Was a CPA doing taxes in my previous profession so not unfamiliar with preparing and filing tax returns

Didn't like that it defaults to use expert assist premium (extra cost) when filing. I had to do research why the cost to file was higher than normal. Not happy with being forced to manually downgrade to remove the feature I didn't even sign up for. The worst part is that my daughter has already filed her return and paid extra. She didn't even know and use the assistance. Sneaky update to the software.

1) The TurboTax interview process was difficult & led us down an incorrect path regarding vehicle use. We required CPA assistance to complete the filing because our results were inaccurate following TurboTax 2) I REALLY do not appreciate being baited into applying for credit when that was NOT our intention. The presentation of other third party offers in the UI vail or conflate giving away our information to someone else with the tax filing process. This is not ethical & not appreciated. We already paid for your service. Be more clear and transparent about the process & do NOT confuse selling additional or third party offers with filing taxes.

The desktop version is best. The software could not assist in fixing errors. The only option offered to fix the return was to print and mail the return, which is the option no one wants. I had to go back and rework every item in the income section to find and correct the error. This added hours. very bad. Never had the problem with the desktop version.

Generally I like Turbo Tax. This year was complicated by the fact that your 2025 version would not run on Windows 10. You nearly lost me as a customer over that one. Also had difficulty finding where to enter my work mileage and my HSA contributions. Had to do searches to find these very common items.

After using Turbo Tax desktop for 20 years I was forced to use online because Desktop only works on Windows 11 which I don't have and I am not going to install (due to its privacy intrusiveness). It is awful for Turbo Tax to marry Windows 11. Your online help screens are mediocre. Navigation is awful. I had to use external AI to find help and locate some features. Also, I don't want identity protection packaged together with Audit Protection. Since Desktop is no longer an alternative I may be hiring a CPA next year. Goodbye.

I usually like TubroTax, but they forced me to use a more expensive product featuring a live tax review, which I neither needed nor wanted. It cost way more, and there was no way to switch out to the standard "do it myself" option after it was selected! Rather than showing a side by side of the various TurboTax products I could use, it forced me to only select from the one. I didn't realize that I was unable to switch until I had finished my federal and state taxes after hours, and hours of work! After doing some digging, I learned that I had to erase my progress and literally start a the beginning again to find the small print button that would let me change my product rather than clicking continue on the singular option shown. So, after erasing my hours of work to start over, I missed the deadline for filing. I wouldn't have missed it if I didn't have to start all the way over again. Needless to say, I'm rather upset.

They do guide you with step-by-step instructions. It can get expensive quick with all the add-on services. They are simply the best in the business. There is no better backed company to provide you with accuracy and protection should a mistake be made. Easy Features and Easy Interface as well as compatibility with both pc and mac platforms. This beats paying a CPA by far. Thanks Intuit.

I purchased the desktop version. I was offered the online version "for free" but initially could not access the website using Safari with my Norton internet protection software. The interface was familiar, and I completed the returns and attempted to e-file, but that attempt failed because my Identity Protection PIN wasn't entered (I don't think I was prompted to do so). When I attempted to fix this, I ended up trying to insert the 6 digits into a DIFFERENT ('self-chosen') PIN. After abandoning this, I went to the online version using a different browser and was successful (at least so far). The interface was new to me, but "cute" and user-friendly. I was presented with additional opportunities to enhance the income of Intuit along the way.

Very difficult using it this year with several wavy screens that was difficult to read. Also, trying to work through a home sale that I knew we were tax exempt on but could never get through it when answering the questions I knew were the correct answers but couldn't get it to finalize. So, I had to delete it to complete my taxes in time.
