Since I'm used to s/w on my computer I found the on-line version much harder to skip around in to add what I wanted to add, when I wanted to add it. In addition, while it added my info from 2025, it insisted, when doing the e-file, that it could not find my return from last year and I must have used a different s/w program. I've been using TurboTax for decades.

It isn't as intuitive and as easy to use as previously. It really let me down on the foreign income. Verry cumbersome. And the program asks too often about buying additional products from Intuit. Ask once, that is enough. It makes me ask, "are the other tax programs friendlier".

Turbo tax guiding you through the process is great. Overpaying for what package you get based on last year is a joke. You should easily be able to change from premium to deluxe without rentering all of your forms. The form started in premium base on last year due to an additional form needed, since we didn’t need that form this year, TurboTax is a money grab and time waster for a convenience to a customer who has been returning for 10+ years!

It was extremely difficult to access how to apply our overtime to the tax return. Finally, I guessed and entered "Overtime" in the name box on the W2 screen and amount, then everything was OK. This was extremely difficult and time consuming...and FRUSTRATING!

The on-line version was much more difficult to use than the desktop version I have used for years because I need to look at what is happening in the forms and I am not allowed to because you pay at the end rather than at the beginning. In addition, the online version did not do as nice of a job walking you through the process. I will be considering a different product for 2026 and actually used a different one for another return this year.

The Interface and Features are functional, but they exist because the company spends millions to ensure a simpler government system doesn't exist. The Accuracy of the software is fine, but the Support for the American taxpayer is low because the company lobbies against the IRS Direct File program. While the Compatibility with various tax forms is high, the cost of these Features is an unnecessary burden forced on us by corporate influence. This product represents a paid solution to a problem that other countries have solved for free.

there are parts that loop for no reason, like what is use tax and why can't it be 0? i made 0 purchases that weren't taxed by Ohio? if there are nuanced details like this they should just be explained so a farm animal could understand it because i literally do this once a year. then for like 15 times it wouldn't take the name of a company i entered it just appeared blank and looped like a dozen times and now - with this text box, everytime i type something, the text box is trying to decide what i'm talking about and changing the ai reviewed topics and literally killing my typing, even when i have it hidden. the only way i have found for it to work is if i type slowly like 30 wpm. which is painful and why does it matter if i have a nickname or have the same nickname to anyone else? altogether it basically makes taxes braindead to do, what's annoying about what encountered is just how out of character it was for the software to mess up like that

I like the simple questions. However, the document upload process, although easy to use, loaded the "payer" information from two of my three 1099-Rs incorrectly. It listed my own information instead of the actual payer's information as stated on the 1099. My own name and address were listed at the payer of the retirement distributions.

I tried filing electronically and had to request a support agent twice because it was rejected. 2nd agent explained it's a software issue related to my 1098 form for my home's mortgage interest. I know have to print 44 pages and file by mail. Very disappointed in the product experience this year.

My TurboTax experience was awful this time. It was my first time doing it online because the TurboTax website kept rejecting both of my credit cards when trying to purchase Desktop. I spent a lot of time on the phone with both credit card companies who said it was on the TurboTax end. Uncertain if I would finish on time, I did it online. And then continued to have payment problems. I then called TurboTax help, who acknowledged there was a bug in the payment software, and then the online worked, without me realizing it, but then i paid too much for it. I also really didn't like the interface of the online version and that i had to reenter driver's license information and AGI, despite having used TurboTax Desktop for years.
