While the pinch-to-pause and swipe gestures are new features, they do replace the touch-to-pause, double-tap, and triple-tap options from previous models. The pinch controls allow you to play or pause music, answer or end calls, and even switch songs with double or triple pinches. The swipe gestures make adjusting the volume easily by sliding your finger up or down.
