These Dole Brand Bananas Go Bad in 2 Days

I buy these sometime so that I don't have to go to the grocery store, but I'm always finding myself playing Beat the Clock. You have about 2 days to eat them; otherwise, they go rotten on you. These do not have much flavor at all. Better to buy them at HEB where theirs have a good flavor, and they do not go to waste like this Dole Brand that Sam's Club carries.

Great for instore, mushy bruised mess pickup!

Cant go wrong for in-store! But for pickup, a fellow gots to wonder if the shopper bowled them down the hall a few times to insure every single last one was bruised and would turn spoil! No joke whats up with ever single last one mushy and bruised? Come on Sams! In my day we prized our self with perfect bananas from Hawaii. See they are all shipped green, and almost impossible to bruise. So the fact they are all bruised on backside is from angry handlers and people throwing boxes who stock them on Sams shelves. No reason to get bananas that looked like they fell off delivery truck on freeway when they ripen.

Thanks!

As a local small business owner with limited storage space & high volume product, it is certainly nice & reassuring to have the Sams Club team put in the extra effort in assisting me with my order. Love the app, the email notifications & the great customer service that management provides. Keep up the great work! Steve

Good bananas but...

These are great if you don't care if they're organic or not I see people complain but that you make no sense organic bananas are much better healthier even if they're green people who complain that they're green or clueless didn't even give the bananas a shot they should have tried them before they started whining about it bananas do not need to be yellow in order for them to be ready to eat if you wait till they're yellow they're super sweet and you just have to make ice cream out of them.

Only if you're eating them all today

I am sure it's a storage issue with Sam's, but every time I buy bananas there they are covered with brown spots the very next day. I only buy them green, as we like them just as they begin to yellow. Sam's bananas go from green directly to brown, never yellow. It does not happen when I buy from other stores, so I'm guessing it's how they store them. They do have a great price, but they all go to bread and can't be eaten.

Not ripe enough

I had a pickup order on Wednesday and needed to be able to eat the bananas on Saturday, and they were still solidly green. There needs to be an option for selecting how ripe they are. Like, all green, half green, ready to eat today. I appreciate wanting them to be as fresh as possible, but sometimes they are too green.

Cheap but still a waste of money

We stopped buying the organic bananas from Sam's because they refuse to ripen. They will literally turn brown and still be hard, chalky and gross. We didn't give up after a couple times either. We stupidly bought them twice a month for around 2 years. At first it was about 1/6 times they'd be bad. Then it progressed to becoming nearly every time we'd buy them. We had enough after we had a batch make zero ripening results after 3 straight weeks.

Bad to the Bruise

I ordered through grocery pickup and received 2 bunches of bananas that were so badly bruised and battered. That two had to be immediately thrown away and the rest had to be eaten within a couple of days. This is not the quality of product that any sane human being would pick out because of how quickly they spoiled. I should have been asked if this was acceptable instead of getting home to find two almost spoiled bunches of bananas that only bruised further because of how they packed the boxes.

Horrible

Recieved completely green bananas in delivery. Waited 2 days for them to rippen. Still were green. Pulled one off last night was perfectly ripe still green. By 7 pm their all mushy and yellow. Idk what their doing to the bananas but they really should stop asap. Will not buy again after 13 years.

Absolutely Disappointed!

I so wish I could attach a picture. Purchased these bananas on Thursday. I picked through several bunches to make sure they had a little green to them since I wasn't planning to eat all immediately, of course. Got home & decided to eat one. Could feel a soft spot through peel. Peeled it, and a large area was rotten. Checked others, and 4 more were like this. They aren't long bananas to begin with, so to have a large area rotten, made most of the banana inedible. Waste!
