These Dole Brand Bananas Go Bad in 2 Days

I buy these sometime so that I don't have to go to the grocery store, but I'm always finding myself playing Beat the Clock. You have about 2 days to eat them; otherwise, they go rotten on you. These do not have much flavor at all. Better to buy them at HEB where theirs have a good flavor, and they do not go to waste like this Dole Brand that Sam's Club carries.

GREEN BANANAS OF VERY POOR QUALITY.

I RECEIVED COMPLETELY GREEN, POOR QUALITY BANANAS, THAT WERE BOUGHT FOR ME BY THE 3RD PARTY SHOPPING AND DELIVERY SERVICE USED BY SAM'S CLUB FOR ONLINE DELIVERY ORDERS IN OUR AREA, EVEN THOUGH I SPECIFIED, "NO GREEN BANANAS" - IN MY NOTE TO THE SHOPPER, I RECEIVED COMPLETLEY GREEN BANANAS! SAM'S CLUB 3RD PARTY SHOPPING AND DELIVERY SERVICE IN OUR AREA IS TERRIBLE! I HAVE HAD REPEATED DELIVERY ISSUES, AND NO ONE HERE AT OUR LOCAL SAM'S CLUB, OR AT SAM'S CLUB ONLINE, KNOWS HOW TO CONTACT THEIR 3RD PARTY SHOPPING AND DELIVERY SERVICE! THE SHOPPING AND DELIVERY SERVICE WANTS YOU TO TIP THEIR SHOPPERS WHEN YOU CHECK OUT ONLINE, BEFORE YOUR ORDER IS SHOPPED AND DELIVERED. IT'S LIKE EXPECTING YOU TO TIP YOUR WAITER FOR YOUR FOOD BEFORE IT IS SERVED TO YOU. THERE IS NO WAY TO CHANGE YOUR TIP TO THE DELIVERY PERSON ONCE YOU ENTER IT AT THE ONLINE CHECKOUT, EVEN THOUGH IT SAYS ONLINE YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR TIP IF YOU HAVE DELIVERY ISSUES.

Bad to the Bruise

I ordered through grocery pickup and received 2 bunches of bananas that were so badly bruised and battered. That two had to be immediately thrown away and the rest had to be eaten within a couple of days. This is not the quality of product that any sane human being would pick out because of how quickly they spoiled. I should have been asked if this was acceptable instead of getting home to find two almost spoiled bunches of bananas that only bruised further because of how they packed the boxes.

Best bananas ever!!

I had some bananas delivered to my home. They were very green so I let them sit out for a while. For some reason they were taking a long time to turn yellow. I thought I would give them a try while they were still green. They were the best bananas I have ever had!! I hope I can get some more like that. I would like to thank the shopper for picking out some amazing bananas for me.

Love em Green

I have never gotten gross brown spotting, bananas I love that they are always green or yellow and absolutely delicious!! They are always firm and if you need them to ripen faster, put them next to apples or onions or already ripe bananas. Alternatively, you can put them in a brown paper bag or near some cardboard.!!

Nice and green

I've never seen a bunch of these bananas yellow like in the photo. They're almost always VERY green on day of purchase. Most of the time they kind of turn sort of yellow, but never solid yellow; there's always a fair amount of green left, even when they have brown "I'm ripe" spots. They're usually not ripe enough to each on the day of purchase, but are quite edible 2-3 days later, and are very good to eat 4-6 days after purchase, even though they still look green, and may even seem to have bruises, but those bruises almost never reach the banana flesh.

Amazing value, delicious bananas!

The bananas at Sam’s are so cheap! I usually grab 2 bunches each shopping trip because we go through them so fast. I feel like these last at least week on the counter but I do try to get ones that are more green so they last longer. Great size and flavor. Yum!

Cheap but still a waste of money

We stopped buying the organic bananas from Sam's because they refuse to ripen. They will literally turn brown and still be hard, chalky and gross. We didn't give up after a couple times either. We stupidly bought them twice a month for around 2 years. At first it was about 1/6 times they'd be bad. Then it progressed to becoming nearly every time we'd buy them. We had enough after we had a batch make zero ripening results after 3 straight weeks.

Doubtful

It's been three days and my bananas haven't ripened. It looks like they have freezer damage. I would think you would get that in the wintertime, but it is June. I don't think they will. It seems useless. Maybe, they picked them really green and rely on gas. Food labeling laws don't require them to tell us anything or the store clerks. You pay more for a health food store, but the Clerks there have answers about your food.

Terrible bananas

Look gorgeous on the outside but rot from the inside out, they start green, which I don't mind but you cant see the bruising. The last five of the six visits to SAM's we were barely able to salvage two bananas out of the bunch. This sixth time they were good. You better be ready to eat them in two days cause they ripen fast, you'll have to make muffins unless they start rotting bad.
