The car is nice and my son loves it. Cons: 1. Contrary to some of the other reviews, this took us a while to build. 3 and a half hours to be exact. It didn't help that one of the wheels didn't have a hole pre-opened in order to fit it on the actual car. We had to punch it through ourselves after 20 minutes of wondering why the last wheel didn't fit onto the car. 2. I wish there were functional buttons on the dash instead of just stickers. Or at least a horn! My son would've loved that. Growing up I had a Barbie car and that had a little radio with 5 songs pre programmed. That would've been nice. Pros: 1. The quality so far seems nice. My son loves to store his other toys in the trunk bed. 2. It came really quickly. I ordered it at 9 am and it arrived 9 am the day after.

Love this vehicle and can't get my boy out of it. I recommend checking out the YouTube mods on everything from increasing traction (by either adding pneumatic tires or wrapping the plastic tires with mountain bike tread) or making an external charging port or swapping out the battery for power tool batteries. This has been the best Christmas gift ever for the little man, and we're planning on just giving him upgrades for future birthdays and Christmases that we can install together. I don't recommend adding all the stickers as they will peel, like any sticker, over time.

we have the peg perego tractor (which we love) so we thought this would be a great addition but we really didn’t care for it. The seat is very small for my 1 and 3 year old. I don’t like that there isn’t anything to secure them in. If the passenger isn’t holding on well, they can fall right out. Also, since it’s wheel drive and most of the weight sits in the front, it gets stuck in the grass a lot if there’s any dips. The wheels will just spin. Fortunately Walmart made the return process super easy and we were able to purchase the ford raptor instead which we are very happy with!

My grandson loves this and rides it daily, it is very sturdy and moves over dirt, rocks, grass. The only problem is that the plastic pull tab for the dump box broke the second day and is very hard for a toddler to pull, which is why I gave it a 4 star rating instead of 5

4/4/14 I ordered the above item for my 2 2 1/2 year old grandsons for Easter. It was suppose to be in Thursday, April 17 but I got an e-mail said it would not be in till Friday, April 18. My husband went Sat a.m. April 19 and was told it was not put together and they could not have it ready until Sunday, April 20, now remember this is a present that the Easter Bunny was bringing for my 2, 2 1/2 year old grandsons. So, Sunday morning we went to church, came home and my husband went back to Walmart to pick it up because he was told it would be ready between 9 & 10, he got there and no one had even started on it, but, they would call when it was ready. About, 1:30 we get a call it is ready, they went & got it only to find out that it has to charge for 18 hours which we were not told about that part either. So needless to say my Easter present was ruined. Will never order anything again from Walmart. com

Unit is much smaller than portrayed in the site listing, barely big enough for a 3 to 4 y/o. Everything is made from thin, flimsy plastic....not sturdy at all. Even the bumper/brush guard on the front bends using just one finger. Most parts on this Gator won't even support the weight or average use of a small child. I don't expect this to survive the Summer before there's significant damage. A consumer expects more from something labeled John Deere, especially for the price. Not worth what we paid.

I purchased this on line from my local Walmart. They were very helpful in loading this into my car. It is an excellent electric toy (vehicle). It didn't require an outrageous amount of time to assemble. The directions were clear and it had pictures. My grandson is thrilled with this gator. He can have a friend ride with him and carry his stuff in the back.....

Bought this for my godson for his birthday. It does pretty well in high gear going up hills and in wet grass. However if he let off the pedal in the middle of going up hill the tires would spin and not go anywhere. It doesn't have a whole lot of grip on tires and they r plastic but that can be modified. Overall impressed at the power and build. He's a rough little kid so we will test durability in the next few months.

I was told by many friends that if I was to buy one vehicle for my toddler this is the one. They were right. It seems tough and he loves it! The only complaint is that the wheels could use slightly better traction when on grass but that is the same for all these types of toys I have seen.

We’ve had the originally 12v gator ride on toy for our son when he was small and it lasted 4 years no problem. We bought a Second one to replace that one for our girls and this new versions is so much nice and aesthetically pleasing. The battery’s haven’t changed much over the years, if they made them 24 volts you would get twice the run time. 12volt will work for now, we got an amazing price for it in store we could t pass up! If I could get another one for the price we paid I would definitely buy another one! The battery’s aren’t priced bad at $50 and a secondary battery is much needed when you have 2 girls. 5 stars as always we love Peg Perego products
