This is so unfortunate. We ordered this for Christmas. We were halfway through building it late on Christmas Eve when we realized one of the pieces was broken off (the part that connects the bed to the chassis). Had a fun time explaining that to the kids (Blip the elf knocked it off the sleigh). Ordered a second one on Christmas Day and was told it would arrive in 2 weeks. It arrived Dec 26th (yay Walmart!). Frustratingly it was also broken: SAME PART! The first vehicle had the clip broken clear off. This one was attached, but there was a huge crack from top to bottom of the chassis. Ordered a third—the final attempt before we look for a different option. It arrived Dec 28th and was in one piece. The Gator is not packaged well enough. I’m assuming when moved in the factory or warehouse or in delivery people are putting the box down corner first, probably roughly, and because of the lack of packaging the plastic chassis is smacking off the plastic wheels at the base of the box, causing a fracture in the plastic. The problem lies ultimate with peg perego for the packaging. But the damage could have been caused any number of places along the supply chain, from warehouse to store, or by any of the moving/transporting/delivery people along the way. I have bought Peg Perego for my children and grandchildren for 30 years now. We live in Ft. Wayne where they are made and they have brought so much joy.... until now. I bought the Gator for my granchildren and had it delivered to them over 800 miles away. For less than one month they have had a fantastic time with their new "wheels". 2 days ago it stopped working. At this time I am on the phone trying to find out a solution to my problem. Hopefully I can change my extremely low rating of this item to a better one. This is the 3rd Peg Perego Power vehicle I have purchased and so far it has fallen below any expectations. The representative I spoke to at Walmart.com was extremely helpful and I can return this item for a replacement. I do not expect any problems with the next one. The items I have purchased from Peg Perego in the past have been tough and lasted through years of play. I cannot imagine what went wrong with this one.

Bought this for my grandsons. The low speed should be easier to lock in, somewhere under the toy or the hood. 3 year old has no problem but little brother needs lower speed. Back of gator is flimsy and latch is not great. For riding this is amazing and for our grandsons whom love tractors and anything farming they are loving it and worth the money.

My son got this for Christmas and he just turned three. He loved driving around and picking up sticks and rocks and dumping them around the yard. The seat does adjust to slide back but not very much so there's not very much leg room. He'll probably be able to drive it comfortably til he's 4. Otherwise, it was a great buy.

Saw the ad in the Walmart Circular after my son asked us to pickck it up for his son. It was not on display, however a similar jeep was. My son and daughter-in-law put it together--mostly applying decals, etc. No horn, no working lights, no radio--in short--no bells and whistles for the amoung of money it cost!

Overall my son loves this ride on. The assembly was extremely difficult to follow and we had a missing piece. Not a fan of the charging compartment. You have to remove a screw each time you need to charge the battery. Took about 2 1/2 hours to fully assemble.

I ordered this John Deere Gator XUV for my grandson. HE LOVES IT !!! The process of ordering was fast and easy...thank you Walmart...and delivery was quick as advertised. Would not hesitate to order anything else. We have a very happy little guy. Thank you. Viola

We were very happy with the size and quality of the John Deere battery ride on for our Grandson's as well as the choice for Daughter to pick up at a local WalMart or have it shipped which we chose for easy of the young family. Quality vendor WalMart as well as quality product. Very satiisfied in all aspects of our purchase. Best part of Christmas, surprising the kids!

Walmart site to store works very well for me. The John Deere Gator was purchased as a birthday present for my 2year old grandson.Once it arrived the assembly was pretty easy even though the instructions are pretty vague at times. Appling all the decals is very time consumming and somewhat frustrating. They have a large backyard so it is mainly used on a grass surface & I noticed that it loses traction fairly easily ( might have to purchase the rubber traction bands for the wheels also, at nearly $400.000 they should be included) The first charge on the battery takes 18hrs so give yourself plently of time before actually putting the John Deere Gator to use. My grandson & friends where very excited and rode it constantly for about 2hrs until the battery needed recharging. In summary it would be nice if you could purchase it ready to ride but it was worth the time invested.

It is great for my granddaughter. She loves the speed (good for age). She goes around the yard and fills up the bed and then goes dump it. She loves it so much, that she rides it almost every day. Yes, the wheels spin on uneven ground, etc a little, but ALL of the power vehicles for age 2 - 8 are the hard plastic wheels that don't have much grip. So this isn't detrimental to this particular vehicle but to all of them. It only took about an hour to assemble and most of that was putting on the all the decals. At the pivot point under the bed, we put a screw into each pivot because the pivot round piece would fall out each time that you dump it. Beware that this isn't a toy that they can use right away; the battery takes 18 hours each time to charge up before using.
