I knew my 4 yo would love this and boy, did Santa choose well!! Aside from the 18 hour required charging before you can use it, this thing is amazing. We have lots of areas of rock in the backyard, and the Gator just rolls right over it all. 4x4-ing at it's finest! Plus it has two gears and reverse, so if you get in a bind you can back it up, or go full throttle. :D

Easy to learn and use. Easy to assemble as most of it is already put together. Been pretty durable so far. Slight traction issues going up small, grassy incline in 1st gear, 2nd gear resolves that as he is able to get more momentum going up inclines. Great little car.

First off for the price I expected more it’s smaller than the old gator the battery location is horrible, there are no working light, horn, radio nothing it is as plain as it gets, I never bought a power wheels that had nothing not even a radio I could have bought any other one or brand for less money with working lights and sounds , the dump bed won’t stay shut , the latch to operate the dump bed broke first time there are no seat belts and the ground clearance sucks save your money buy something else

My son loves it! Good speed options, fairly easy to put together. Missing one hubcap though. My biggest issue it the battery compartment… you have to unscrew a panel every time to charge it which is a pain considering it needs to be charged frequently.

Walmart site to store works very well for me. The John Deere Gator was purchased as a birthday present for my 2year old grandson.Once it arrived the assembly was pretty easy even though the instructions are pretty vague at times. Appling all the decals is very time consumming and somewhat frustrating. They have a large backyard so it is mainly used on a grass surface & I noticed that it loses traction fairly easily ( might have to purchase the rubber traction bands for the wheels also, at nearly $400.000 they should be included) The first charge on the battery takes 18hrs so give yourself plently of time before actually putting the John Deere Gator to use. My grandson & friends where very excited and rode it constantly for about 2hrs until the battery needed recharging. In summary it would be nice if you could purchase it ready to ride but it was worth the time invested.

My 7 year old son saw this item in the store and wanted it for his birthday. We had all of our friends and family give him gift cards in order to help with the purchase. It was one of the only power wheels that had the age up to 8 years old so we thought he would have no problem fitting in it as he just turned 7 and isn't a big 7 year old. We put it together and he doesn't fit in it at all. He has to sit on the back part of the seat in order to drive it. The reason I gave it a 4 star rating is that he has a younger sibling who is 4 and fits in it just perfectly and has a blast. So, if you have a younger child, this item is great but don't think that because it says up to 8 years old that you child will fit in it.

I purchased this because it is made in USA & willing to pay more money then rather buy from import made, i experted it will be a lot heavy duty or better construcion than the imported ones. I am a bit disappointed on what came with it, no horn, no mirror, no actual lights, no seat belts and the assembly needs some technical assitance even only a few parts to put together, the AIS needs to improve to give more details specially when comes to install the dump tray joint in the back. The dashboard are all stickers, looks cheap, the wheel has no traction, the reverse gear has to press down to works, making kids hard to make the reverse by pressing down, truning the wheel & pedal down all together in one action and no subspension, last bad thing is did not come with quick charger ( 2 hour full charge), it comes with a charger that need to charge the battery full with 18-20 hours. ( " 3/4 of a full day) The battery wont hold up charge, mine ran out 45 min to an hour at normal use on flat road by my 4 years old son with 35 lbs only. i will be calling for an RA for the replacement of the battery & charger next day or two. Come on ! John Deere, $350+tax , you got to do better than that ! You are comparing yourself with import products, how that's make you feel with the products you are calling "made in U.S.A.", be fair to the consumers who support local industires, employment & economy.

Bought two for my boys and they look better in person. They love these little trucks. The trucks are sturdy thus far, we've only had em since Christmas. We live in Ohio so the weather has permitted us to use them as much as the boys would like. So far so good though.

Bought this for a Christmas gift. Didn’t have it a month and it will only go in reverse. The toy has never been mistreated, just driven. Our grandchild loved it but unfortunately it did not last. This was a lot of money for us to spend but we were excited to do without in order for him to have this.

I was told by many friends that if I was to buy one vehicle for my toddler this is the one. They were right. It seems tough and he loves it! The only complaint is that the wheels could use slightly better traction when on grass but that is the same for all these types of toys I have seen.
