We’ve had the originally 12v gator ride on toy for our son when he was small and it lasted 4 years no problem. We bought a Second one to replace that one for our girls and this new versions is so much nice and aesthetically pleasing. The battery’s haven’t changed much over the years, if they made them 24 volts you would get twice the run time. 12volt will work for now, we got an amazing price for it in store we could t pass up! If I could get another one for the price we paid I would definitely buy another one! The battery’s aren’t priced bad at $50 and a secondary battery is much needed when you have 2 girls. 5 stars as always we love Peg Perego products

I am totally disappointed. It is for my 5 year old. Wanted something bigger for him. Age range was thru 8 years. He is 55 lbs and 4 ft tall. With the seat all the way back his knees still hit the front dash. Plus the dump feature doesnt work with the seat all the way back. The instructions were not great but I managed to assemble it without having a meltdown. He still loves it but I do not. Really upset he is already too big for something weighted for 2 people equalling 130 lbs and age appropriate 3-8.

I ordered this item for my daughters 2nd birthday she loves it and can drive it pretty well with some steering assistance and does sit on the edge of the seat but I wanted that I wanted something she would drive for a while around the property. To be honest it’s ok, we ordered one and had to return it because it had no bolts to put it together with. The next one came in no problem went together pretty easy. Now that’s she’s trying to drive it around it just can’t get much traction in the rear the tires are just constantly spinning it doesn’t matter if it’s grass, packed gravel, packed dirt, or the slab. Definitely doesn’t get enough traction to go up a small incline. If she sits in the bed of it and her sister drives it helps because it’s added weight to the back but obviously we don’t want that all the time. I added some blocks to the bed but I don’t feel like that should have been needed. Plus that’s the area where they should play out there own dirt and sticks and such not blocks stacked in the back to go honestly I don’t feel 100% confident with them back there and one of them try to move the block. Speed 1 and 2 are essentially the same speed and though at her age it’s ok and average person does walk faster than it. Overall for the price I should have opted for the fourwheeler that is an off brand like her sisters though they can’t ride together it did much better on our property and still going strong 4 years later.

My 3 year old loves this Gator. It has a very long battery life and there are a lot of options out there for this platform to upgrade tires, batteries, motors, etc. A little bit expensive but worth it for the quality. It seems like it will last a long time and we will have fun modifying it together when things start to wear out.

BEWARE OF THE NUMBER OF STICKERS! lol this is a great product. My parents have one that is quite old and still runs great for the kids. If you are a procrastinator like myself, make sure you give yourself more than 30 minutes to put all the stickers on in their correct spots before gifting :)

Easy to learn and use. Easy to assemble as most of it is already put together. Been pretty durable so far. Slight traction issues going up small, grassy incline in 1st gear, 2nd gear resolves that as he is able to get more momentum going up inclines. Great little car.

Walmart site to store works very well for me. The John Deere Gator was purchased as a birthday present for my 2year old grandson.Once it arrived the assembly was pretty easy even though the instructions are pretty vague at times. Appling all the decals is very time consumming and somewhat frustrating. They have a large backyard so it is mainly used on a grass surface & I noticed that it loses traction fairly easily ( might have to purchase the rubber traction bands for the wheels also, at nearly $400.000 they should be included) The first charge on the battery takes 18hrs so give yourself plently of time before actually putting the John Deere Gator to use. My grandson & friends where very excited and rode it constantly for about 2hrs until the battery needed recharging. In summary it would be nice if you could purchase it ready to ride but it was worth the time invested.

4/4/14 I ordered the above item for my 2 2 1/2 year old grandsons for Easter. It was suppose to be in Thursday, April 17 but I got an e-mail said it would not be in till Friday, April 18. My husband went Sat a.m. April 19 and was told it was not put together and they could not have it ready until Sunday, April 20, now remember this is a present that the Easter Bunny was bringing for my 2, 2 1/2 year old grandsons. So, Sunday morning we went to church, came home and my husband went back to Walmart to pick it up because he was told it would be ready between 9 & 10, he got there and no one had even started on it, but, they would call when it was ready. About, 1:30 we get a call it is ready, they went & got it only to find out that it has to charge for 18 hours which we were not told about that part either. So needless to say my Easter present was ruined. Will never order anything again from Walmart. com

My son loves his Gator! Perfect size for him (3) and his sister (4). The tires sometimes spin when driving on rocks, but I try to keep him on grass or dirt most of the time to preserve the tires. He absolutely loves being able to haul leaves, toys, and rocks in the back. The battery life is great compared to other ride-ons that we've purchased. Didn't give 5 stars because the tailgate falls open as he drives. I put a small glue dot on it to fix the problem. I'd definitely recommend.

My 4-year old (as well as my 9 and 11 year olds!) loves his new ride. It took him a few minutes to figure out how to drive it, but now that he's got it, he's a pro. Assembly took a little while. The service ordering and paying for the vehicle was great.
