My girls love riding this gator around our farms. But u can only ride it for 3 hrs and it goes dead. Whatever battery is in the Barbie jeep they need to Putin the gator. We have a Barbie jeep I think we have had to charge it one time in a year. I am not pleased with the battery!!! Please if u are going to spend 350 bucks buy an extra battery.

I bought this less then a year ago (July 2020) and it literally fell apart. Tailgate fell off, black mesh fell off, the front bumper/battery cover fell off. The battery is in a horrible spot and it’s a pain trying to get that cover on and off to charge. The battery only lasts maybe 20 mins on a full charge. It’s a piece of crap and for what you pay for it I’d expect a lot better. Plus being John Deere and peg perego I expect it to be well manufactured but it’s built terrible.

Bought this for 3 year old grandson for his birthday. The look of this is really nice and I’m sure he’ll love it. He will love the fact it has the tailgate to load his toys and things from the yard. Honestly after putting it together I thought of taking it back as I thought the stickers for the dash and lights made it look cheap and for the price it should have a power button, real lights and a horn. Since it’s for a 3 year old I guess he won’t care about that. Hope he doesn’t outgrow the space as it’s pretty tight from the seat to the dash. If Peg Perego would improve these features it would get a five star rating.

We bought this for our two year old birthday and three years in we still use it ( finally one wheel is cracked in half ) but we do a 3 mile walk with this car about 3-4 times a week and my other now two year old daughter rides with her sister( we used a regular belt to strap her in) one of the best purchases ever !!

I purchased this John Deere gator for my 2 year old grandson’s birthday. I think I have had as much fun and laughter with it as he has! My son had it put together in under an hour by himself. FedEx damaged the box horribly in transit but the gator wasn’t damaged thankfully. One piece of trim was missing but it’s not a big deal, however I am going to contact Walmart directly and let them know. The gator is very sturdy! You will see from the photo it handles a 2 year old and 2 almost 4 year old’s. The 2 year old had no problem operating it and I love hearing him squeal and laugh driving it!! His dad locked it out the higher gear and we can easily walk next to it if needed.

I bought this for my kids for Christmas they loved it! By the time it got warm enough to ride it, they only got to use it for maybe 2 months and the wheels starting cracking and falling apart now they can't ride it till I buy new wheels! I can't believe I paid $400 for this and my kids only used it for two months and can't use it anymore till I buy new wheels! Something this expensive should be a little better built! My kids weren't even rough on it at all!!

I bought this for my son. I've had peg perego products in the past but I am extremely disappointed with this purchase. First thing is the battery it came with is junk. I charged for 24 hrs first time and it only lasts 20-30 min and then takes a full 24 hrs to recharge. The second issue is the dump box release broke off after only using a handful of times. I've had the tractor and fourwheeler and those were great but I would definitely not buy the gator again. Really dissatisfied with the battery situation.

Considering we purchased on Black Friday the price was exceptional. The gator seems pretty sturdy. The handle for the lift bed is flimsy and broke during install. However will not affect overall use of ride-on. We did need to do some trouble shooting yesterday because the reverse is not working, however the handy troubleshooting guide enclosed with directions appears to indicate the problem. I have not fixed yet.

The positive: My 5 year old son LOVES his gator. He rides it every day, uses it for "farm work" on our small farm and loves driving family and friends in it. It's always more fun when you can share the fun so the two seats are great. He loves carrying things in the dump and even hitching stuff on a hauling it. He would say this was the best birthday gift ever. The negative: About one week in the tailgate broke (picture attached). It's a small piece of plastic that holds it in on both sides so it was inevitable at some point but one week? About 2 months in the black plastic "roll bar" that's behind the seats broke. It doesn't affect the functioning of the vehicle so we just ended up taking it off. If your child is really tall, mine is 3'9" - we had to push the seat all the way back so his knee wouldn't be crammed against the dashboard. That mean the dump bed is always partially propped up. If your kids are short, than no worries. The battery lasts about an hour or 2 depending on what they are doing (hauling things, driving up hills, on the flat, etc.) so we ended up buying a second battery and a quick charger. Definitely recommend the quick charger. It charges in about an hour, really fast. We tried charging with the original charger and left it overnight - it still was not charged the next morning. All of the above I could live with, as my son my son has played with this almost every day for over 4 months and he really uses it like a farm vehicle so I was not surprised when it didn't hold up super well (after all it is plastic). He doesn't mistreat it, he just plays hard. What is really irritating is that now the wiring has come loose in the part that connects to the battery and I am not sure how much longer it will last. Somehow the plastic covering on the wiring melted and now one wire is loose and the gator is making some strange noises and not lasting as long on a charge. I assume it is from disconnecting a battery and reconnecting over and over but this has nothing to do with hard playing as adults always change it and are careful. This is very frustrating quality.

I've put together a lot of toys and vehicles in the past 40 years but these are some of the worst assembly directions I've ever seen. There are small photos only and they do not depict the parts well enough for you to be sure about assembly. Some pieces are depicted as needing to be assembled, but they come preassembled. I still have a spring left that I have no idea where it goes, don't see it in the pictures at all. I'm sure the grandkids will love this, but there is no excuse for such shoddy assembly instructions.
