I purchased for 3 year old granddaughter for Christmas, she loves it. Seems to be of good quality, instructions are a little vague, spins wheels when first starts to move, but when it gets to moving, all is good. The seat is a little close to the steering wheel, but adjustable (might take a test seat for future reference). Overall, I think it’s a good buy.

Great!

My son loves the Gator. He puts his juice in the cup holder and takes off across the yard. We placed two pieces of wood in the dump bed for weight. My son is lite and our yard is no completely flat so we added the wood to help him get more traction. It took my husband an hour to put together. So far we are very pleased.

Perfect for a 3 year old boy!

My 3 year old son loves this - my only suggestion would be to purchase in store. the Site to Store process was a nightmare. I actually ended up going to the store and purchasing the in stock item and returning the Site to Store order when it came in. No idea why they don't fill the Site to Store orders with store stock, but I won't use Site to Store again. Almost ruined my son's birthday.

Too cute

It looks just like the real thing. We bought this for our grandsons, ages 2 and 3, for Christmas. The 3 year old really wanted a John Deere. After some shopping around, I found Walmart had the absolute best price. The boys love it. We put the seats in the most forward position and it's just right for them. Plenty of room to grow. It takes a bit of work, but we got it put together in one evening. There were a couple of confusing instructions. The seats go on last and adjust from under the vehicle. Very tricky. It is solidly made and I can tell it will survive many years of use. A disappointment is that the interior "controls" are decals. No switches. The first thing my grandson did was try them and then asked "Could you turn on the lights?" I thought it could at least have clicking switches or buttons. He got over it quickly but I felt bad. The 3 year old figured out the forward and reverse right away and found the steering easy. The dump bed is difficult to operate and neither child could do it without adult assistance. Since it was raining they could only go back and forth in the hallway. I can't wait to see them get it really going outside.

This is so unfortunate. We ordered this for Christmas. We were halfway through building it late on Christmas Eve when we realized one of the pieces was broken off (the part that connects the bed to the chassis). Had a fun time explaining that to the kids (Blip the elf knocked it off the sleigh). Ordered a second one on Christmas Day and was told it would arrive in 2 weeks. It arrived Dec 26th (yay Walmart!). Frustratingly it was also broken: SAME PART! The first vehicle had the clip broken clear off. This one was attached, but there was a huge crack from top to bottom of the chassis. Ordered a third—the final attempt before we look for a different option. It arrived Dec 28th and was in one piece. The Gator is not packaged well enough. I’m assuming when moved in the factory or warehouse or in delivery people are putting the box down corner first, probably roughly, and because of the lack of packaging the plastic chassis is smacking off the plastic wheels at the base of the box, causing a fracture in the plastic. The problem lies ultimate with peg perego for the packaging. But the damage could have been caused any number of places along the supply chain, from warehouse to store, or by any of the moving/transporting/delivery people along the way. It’s such a pity because it its a great toy! Pics below: 1) for comparison, opposite side unscathed 2) delivery 1: same corner piece clearly snapped off 3) delivery 2: huge crack on the right

You get what you pay for

Solid usa built vehicle Add an hour to assembly time for adding stickers. Battery takes 18 hours to charge 1st time so plan accordingly. Wish walmart disclosed additional free 2 yr warranty that comes inside the pakage, Wouldn't have purchased walmarts' Shipping worth the cost as the box is almost 4 feet tall. Would only fit in a pickup truck

OLDER MODEL WAS MUCH BETTER!!

We bought this gator for my first grandson 3 years ago. He (and his little sister) have ridden it, hauled with it, abused it, and it STILL is running like the day we bought it. (Looks a little rough, but that's becasuse they're having some much fun with it!). So, we bought another for my second grandson about a week ago. Worked fine for about one hour, then all of a sudden, only high gear would work! NO REVERSE, NO LOW GEAR. How disappointing! My son took it the next day back to Walmart and they exchanged for another. Not sure how that one is doing at this time, but we went home and read reviews and several people have similar comments as this one. Whatever the manufacturers have done to make it "better" has failed miserably. I would not purchase another one of these again.

Bought this for my twin grandsons 3rd birthday. They love it! Seems to hold a charge pretty good so far, and has alot of power. Even in low gear. Slips a bit in grass, but to be expected with the plastic tires. Pretty simple to assemble. The site to store worked out GREAT. They had my item to my store the next day. Wish I would have been familiar with that option earlier, because for weeks we checked stores for availablity. Price was a bit high cosidering Costco had the same item over the summer for less than $300. Should have bought it then. They are still learning to drive it but are having lots of fun with it!

Good quality toy

I was told by many friends that if I was to buy one vehicle for my toddler this is the one. They were right. It seems tough and he loves it! The only complaint is that the wheels could use slightly better traction when on grass but that is the same for all these types of toys I have seen.

Love it! Would definitely Recommend.

We had an old version bought second hand that stopped working after sitting outside all winter so we bought this as a replacement and our four year old loves it as much if not more than his previous "gator". It took my husband about an hour to put together (mostly because of the stickers!) and it's getting daily use since. Works well in grass and on paved surfaces if flat. Not suitable for going over large tree roots or rocks but will work on small hills for both surface types. Gets about 90 mins of "fast" use before running out of battery.
