We got this for our son's 3rd birthday. It was easy to assemble. There were some parts where written instructions could have come in handy, but it went smoothly enough. The dump bed with opening tailgate is a lot of fun for him to play with, and also one of the main reasons why we decided to purchase the Gator XUV. It runs great on grass, gravel, and pavement just as advertised. The only negative is that I wish the seats had straps so his little sis could ride along, too. Overall, we're impressed with the quality and very happy with our choice.

So very disappointed. Ordered this online for my 5 yr. old niece as the description said ages 3-8. Not true. After putting it all together she went to get on and had to struggle to get her legs in. Her knees were squished into the dash board. Needless to say this was returned to our local store. Company needs to change the age description.

My boys LOVE this!!! I have a 7 year old and a 4 year old and they can both ride in this, side by side. Very easy to use and understand. Seems well built and heavy duty! My 4 year old calls it his 4-wheeler. The only think I don't like-or that I would change-is that the wheels are kinda grooved, but totally slippery plastic. So, in the snow, the wheels just keep turning. It's probably not supposed to be going over rugged terrain, but my boys and I live on a farm, and this has been up to the barn countless times. And when it does get stuck, the boys just hop out, push it and drive on. The back dumps, but my boys don't really use it for more than hauling stuff around. The tailgate does not stay closed very well and is constantly popping open. But, I would still recommend this John Deere to anyone, for boys or girls! All I have to do is unplug it, take it off the porch and the boys go and go on this! Definitely recommend this...can't go wrong with a John Deere!

I bought this for my son for his 3rd birthday. I was so excited because my little brother had one years ago and it was awesome. Putting it together was a NIGHTMARE. The instructions were awful, I ended up having to watch multiple YouTube videos to get it together. In every video I watched, the tires already came installed, mine they didnt. The first time we took it outside the tires just kept spinning on the ground and it had barely any traction. The battery life is decent, weve had to charge it once in a week, granted its been cold out side so he hasnt been on it much, so we shall see how it does this summer.

Bought this for a Christmas gift. Didn’t have it a month and it will only go in reverse. The toy has never been mistreated, just driven. Our grandchild loved it but unfortunately it did not last. This was a lot of money for us to spend but we were excited to do without in order for him to have this.

My son loves his Gator! Perfect size for him (3) and his sister (4). The tires sometimes spin when driving on rocks, but I try to keep him on grass or dirt most of the time to preserve the tires. He absolutely loves being able to haul leaves, toys, and rocks in the back. The battery life is great compared to other ride-ons that we've purchased. Didn't give 5 stars because the tailgate falls open as he drives. I put a small glue dot on it to fix the problem. I'd definitely recommend.

The kids enjoy it a lot which is why I rated it a 3. The quality isn’t as good for the price, cheap plastic including the wheels. They should be rubber. They spin out lots and don’t have good grip. My son is 5 and barely fits inside, his knees hit the dash. No way it will last until he’s 7, he will outgrow it sooner than that (he’s average size).

First off for the price I expected more it’s smaller than the old gator the battery location is horrible, there are no working light, horn, radio nothing it is as plain as it gets, I never bought a power wheels that had nothing not even a radio I could have bought any other one or brand for less money with working lights and sounds , the dump bed won’t stay shut , the latch to operate the dump bed broke first time there are no seat belts and the ground clearance sucks save your money buy something else

I was told by many friends that if I was to buy one vehicle for my toddler this is the one. They were right. It seems tough and he loves it! The only complaint is that the wheels could use slightly better traction when on grass but that is the same for all these types of toys I have seen.

Got this for my 3yr old and he LOVES it! We have had it for about 6 months now and it works great. He even uses fast mode most of the most bc slow mode is very slow. Putting this together was pretty easy, wish the directions were better but it took me a few hours and I took a few breaks %26 watched some videos of other people putting theirs together. The charge on this is long lasting! My son will ride with his friends and some times forget to charge it, and it will still work the next day. We do try and charge it after every use but the battery is great so far. I do wish the charging component was easier for the kids to be able to take it on/off by themselves but it’s tough for even an adult to do bc it’s a connector and doesn’t just plug into an outlet. Overall, this is a great ride on! My niece has had hers for 3 yrs and the only piece they have had to replace is the battery🤗
