We have this to our kids for Christmas. So far so good, they love it and can operate everything. Out almost 3 year old cannot do the trick bed yet but I think he will be there in a few months. There are no rubber tracks on these tires which makes the wheels just spin on our sloping blacktop driveway. Seems ok on grass so far otherwise it works well.

we have the peg perego tractor (which we love) so we thought this would be a great addition but we really didn’t care for it. The seat is very small for my 1 and 3 year old. I don’t like that there isn’t anything to secure them in. If the passenger isn’t holding on well, they can fall right out. Also, since it’s wheel drive and most of the weight sits in the front, it gets stuck in the grass a lot if there’s any dips. The wheels will just spin. Fortunately Walmart made the return process super easy and we were able to purchase the ford raptor instead which we are very happy with!

Poor traction on grass and flat ground. Battery closure/grill cheap plastic and incredibly difficult to latch. I point this out for safety reasons. Considering the cost of the item and comparable tractors, it’s an expensive item made cheaply and requires you to make additional modifications to make it get traction on flat gravel-watching your kid’s excitement over their new gator deflate because it can’t drive across your driveway that’s an epic fail. I don’t recommend this product for the battery closure issue, the additional work and expense of buying things to give a “gator” basic flat ground traction. The battery life is pretty subpar as well. At this price point it was an epic letdown.

DO NOT BUY!! Windshield came cracked and not even a battery in the box. Pieces needed for the wheels were broken. Crap directions. Front of it was bent up. Handle bar in front of passenger seat was broken. For $400 dollars, this was absolute crap and will get returned and refunded.

I don't like that for reverse you have to hold the lever down bc it's difficult for young children. The wheels spin too much on the street before actually moving. Looks great, putting it together was problematic bc the directions are not great, however, getting them from YouTube rectifies the problem.

This was a HUGE HUGE HIT. MY 3 year old son is OBSESSED. This was the best purchase I have ever made. Only thing I wish I could say for the price is that I wish the lights came on and the dashes wasn't just a sticker. Also I wish that it was a little more high tech, but it's fine and my son loves driving it.

We live in the country, there is not a piece of flat ground anywhere. It's all grass, dirt and hills and this goes so well! This is the fourth ride on toy I've bought and all have been duds for where we live until this! It pulls great and the bed works even with my son's seat all the way back. Instructions are easy to follow, it's easier if you have two people just to help hold things. Pay attention to the direction of the treads on the tires! Would highly recommend this, my son drove it for five hours almost nonstop when we got it, very happy three year old.

Can't really say much yet as the grandson won't see it until near Christmas, but it was something he really wanted. I was glad that it could go "Site to Store" as I live in Grand Haven, MI and the grandson is in Cumming, GA, so my son and daughter-in-law could pick it up now in June and save it boxed in their basement until I am able to be there for Christmas.

This is the second John Deere tractor in two years that I have purchased and NO fault of Walmart but both have had missing parts when I tried to assemble. Of course it means another trip back to Walmart for exchange. Once all parts are there it is a good product. Just disappointed in manufactor not checking on all pieces included. Just be sure and not wait to last minute to assemble or you might be in a tissy trying to return and replace.
