My son got this for Xmas and loves it. Took about 2 hours to put together. Battery needs time to charge. Battery lasts a few hours. It climbs up hill in the fast gear. He sobbed and sobbed the first day when the battery died. We will probably buy an additional battery.

My son loves it! Good speed options, fairly easy to put together. Missing one hubcap though. My biggest issue it the battery compartment… you have to unscrew a panel every time to charge it which is a pain considering it needs to be charged frequently.

This is so unfortunate. We ordered this for Christmas. We were halfway through building it late on Christmas Eve when we realized one of the pieces was broken off (the part that connects the bed to the chassis). Had a fun time explaining that to the kids (Blip the elf knocked it off the sleigh). Ordered a second one on Christmas Day and was told it would arrive in 2 weeks. It arrived Dec 26th (yay Walmart!). Frustratingly it was also broken: SAME PART! The first vehicle had the clip broken clear off. This one was attached, but there was a huge crack from top to bottom of the chassis. Ordered a third—the final attempt before we look for a different option. It arrived Dec 28th and was in one piece. The Gator is not packaged well enough. I’m assuming when moved in the factory or warehouse or in delivery people are putting the box down corner first, probably roughly, and because of the lack of packaging the plastic chassis is smacking off the plastic wheels at the base of the box, causing a fracture in the plastic. The problem lies ultimate with peg perego for the packaging. But the damage could have been caused any number of places along the supply chain, from warehouse to store, or by any of the moving/transporting/delivery people along the way. Bought this for my 2 year old son for his birthday. He has never been happier. His older brother has the tractor version and this is much bigger than that one side by side. Easy to put together - like that you can pull the gator up to an outlet and recharge the battery without removing from the vehicle as we recharge these batteries every night - the boys love to ride these daily. The other one we have had for 3 years and the battery still holds a charge so I hope this one is the same. Must charge battery for 18 hours before using for the first time, so plan ahead. I am thoroughly satisfied with this purchase - big, durable and fun fun fun for the kiddos. Walmart has it for the best price - compared for a couple of months before we bought and if you buy online and pick it up at the store they offer a better deal - over $40 cheaper using Walmarts Site to Store option. Great product by far! The kids even drive around the yard and we load the back up with sticks - so it comes with free yard work!

Advice if you do decide to buy this product: make sure to purchase as far in advance as possible. It takes about 2.5 hours to assemble, the battery needs to be charged 18 hours before first use, and parts may be missing (they were for me). Pros: -John Deere (kids love it) -Cargo bed -Runs well (first week at least) Cons: -Worse torque/traction than similar Power Wheels -Forward/ Reverse lever is very cheap and seems like it will break off at any moment -Missing multiple parts (I guess I get to call a 1-800 number for replacements?) -The battery, which needs to be charged AFTER EVERY USE, is locked in place by a tiny philips head screw... so after every time this car is run, you need to unscrew the compartment. A rudimentary latch can be rigged to avoid using the screw, but whomever engineered this in the first place shouldn't be engineering anything anymore.

Good product. I got what I expected. Kids have a lot of fun with it. It is basic nothing fancy. I think the product will have to be upgraded if they want to keep their market. Like adding a remote control and a better battery for a faster charging and longer lasting.

I thought it would have been a little more roomier since the weight limit was at 130 lbs. My 3 year old is 81 lbs who is autistic he barely fits inside this thing he needs just about both seats to fit he has no leg room his knees are right up against the dash he loves it but I'm afraid he will only enjoy for a few more months then he won't fit. I wish I knew this before I spent $650 something dollars on it that's including shipping cost.

I --- ALL by myself put this together ( not knowing if I could ) last night-- took me about 2 hrs. we charged it up 18 hrs. took it out for a spin this morning... Rode for 2 hrs... Alan ( 3yr old ) had lots of fun...

I bought this for my son for his 3rd birthday. I was so excited because my little brother had one years ago and it was awesome. Putting it together was a NIGHTMARE. The instructions were awful, I ended up having to watch multiple YouTube videos to get it together. In every video I watched, the tires already came installed, mine they didnt. The first time we took it outside the tires just kept spinning on the ground and it had barely any traction. The battery life is decent, weve had to charge it once in a week, granted its been cold out side so he hasnt been on it much, so we shall see how it does this summer.

Was expecting more from the Peg Perigo brand. Plastic wheels, not 4x4. battery does not last a day. No sounds or buttons for the passenger. Not worth the price. As its only RWD, it gets stuck in medium thick grass and any side hills or bumps. Reverse does not stay engaged, the tots have to hold it down. Battery does not last a full day, maybe 2-3 hours of driving for a full night of recharging. Passenger has nothing to do, no buttons, sounds or anything. Plastic wheels have no grip on gravel or grass.
