Easy to learn and use. Easy to assemble as most of it is already put together. Been pretty durable so far. Slight traction issues going up small, grassy incline in 1st gear, 2nd gear resolves that as he is able to get more momentum going up inclines. Great little car.

My neighbor had one of these for probably 5 years and her 3 sons outgrew it, but not before they drove the HExx out of it. It quit working and she put it out by the street. I rescued it for parts but put a new battery in it and IT WORKS GREAT. My grandsons love it so much I bought a new one to go with it. NO FRILLS - High Speed, Low Speed and Reverse and a gas pedal. That’s it. Doesn’t even have an on/off switch, no radio, no remote. In other words - THERE’S NOTHING TO BREAK! And everything about it is really tough plastic or metal. My wife weighs less than the ‘maximum’ so she tried out the new one and it works great too!

So far satisfied with the quality of this product. I expect why this isn’t outrageously more expensive (because of great quality) is because they cut out many features found in other models. Fine for us, but buyers should be aware there are no lights, no horn, no parent remote. A little surprised about no horn but still a great little unit!

There are no written directions with the product, just pictures, which made it hard for me to put together. I can't get the bed to go all the way down with the seat back for my tall child. The toy is great, my 3.5 year old loves it. For how big the box is, I wish it came put together, that is my only complaint.

We had a Mercedes Benz SUV one that worked great for 5 years of heavy use. This one is falling apart after 4-5 months of use. First pieces just started falling off, the back tailgate, the front piece that keeps the battery in and more. Now the tire completely broke open. It's also not for kids with long legs. The other one fit taller kids a lot better. I wish I went with a different one.

This toy is large, my kids will not outgrow this anytime soon. It works great on grass, even uphill, both rear wheels turn unlike some other power wheels. Was prepared to screw a bike tire around the wheels, but so far no need. Assembly was easy, don't need screw in battery compartment, keeps closed just fine. Not sure if I have seen a full 2 hours runtime, but I have 2 kids in it, off-road use and on 5mph mode. Great buy!

Our grandson is 2-1/2 and he is having a blast! The Gator is quality built and extremely easy and safe for our grandson to drive. He is really developing motor skills and confidence level beyond his age! I would highly recommend it will bring many many hours of fun and entertainment for your family. Was not difficult to put together.

This is an amazing product. It looks like our real john Deere and our grandson calls us john Deere buddies ...it teaches kids direction and also how to reverse!!!! It doesn't go too fast ,so is safe and builds confidence . A great purchase and worth the investment.

With the help of a great Walmart associate, Larry, in the Bentonville, AR Store #1's Toy Department, I was able to make a purchase of the John Deere Gator from my home in Texas and have it picked up in-store. My son and his father-in-law put the Gator together and applied all of the decals. Be prepared for a couple of hours of assembly! Also, the battery requires 18 hours to reach a full, initial charge, so plan ahead. My grandson loves his Gator so I couldn't be happier!

Mason (2-1/2yrs old at the time) noticed this thing on the sales rack in Oct. Almost weekly until Christmas, we walked past, and in most cases i got it down so he could sit on it. He had a sales flier at home and kept showing it to us, saying "My tractor". Santa finally brought it. It eclipsed all other presents on Christmas day. Every minute that the weather is decent, he's been on his 'Tractor'. We live on a hill and it goes great in 2nd gear. It took almost no time for him to learn to ride it. The battery life is much better than the Motion Trendz 4wheeler i bought one of our other kids a couple years ago. Even with all the uphill riding, he gets about an hour of steady ride time. By the time he loads and unloads the bed, he plays for 2-1/2 to 3 hours at a time. My only gripe with the whole experience is the assembly instructions. I am a very mechanically inclined person, so logic and the illustrations were good for me to put it together. However, a person who doesn't work on cars regularly or has no experience building things may have trouble with the instructions. The paper explaining what screws go where, is separate from the instruction book and could be overlooked, making assembly a real headache. All in all, this is the best outdoors toy i've run across. A friend's son has had a Gator for 4 years and still riding it! (very roughly). I can only hope ours gives the same kind of service!
