Guess it's different strokes for different folks. Santal 33 seems to have a lot of fans, hence the reason I decided to give this fragrance a shot. I do t know what the original smells like, but I really wanted to love it, but nopeajust no! It is repugnant scent both when recently applied and as it wears on. I kept smelling it on my arm, and felt like washing it off every time. The bottle also arrived leaking, and the box was stained. Shipping also took about a month!! I did like the look and feel of the bottle. But it seems like they need to work more on the perfume quality and not so much their bottles and packaging. Overall, not terribly impressed with Dossier.

I love the way it smells...maybe even more than the original Le Labo Santal 33!I havent decided if the scent lasts on me but the fact that it is so much more affordable than the original makes it worth it even if you have to use it more often. I will definitely be reordering when I run out and I most likely will try more scents.

I really wanted to like this perfume, but unfortunately it didnt work for me. When I first sprayed it on my wrist, I could barely smell anything I had to sniff really hard, and still got almost nothing. I tried spraying it on my clothes and in the air, but the projection was practically nonexistent. Eventually, I did start to pick up the scent a little, but it wasnt that great. The initial note was mostly alcohol, followed by a version of Santal 33 that was close, but missing something. It didnt capture the depth of the original, and the lack of projection made it feel useless. I ended up returning it.

This scent is absolutely amazing. Its identical from the brand name and such a long last scent at that! I love a good woodsy smell and this has a sort of spice to it. Even after a long work day, its still noticeable. Will definitely keep this on my rotation

Ok, so compared to the other scents I've ordered this isn't my top pick. (For reference, I also own Woody Tobacco and Woody Chestnut and I adore those!) It's mainly because I was expecting this to be more woody and maybe smoky? But it isn't. I smell more of the violet leaves (I think?) and because of that, it lingers on being a strange floral instead of a deeper, complex fragrance. But I'll let it sit for a while and macerate as another reviewer suggested, I know that can work wonders on perfume. Otherwise, I may try layering this with a more woodsy sweet fragrance and see how I enjoy it.

If you want to smell like dill pickle juice, this is the scent for you. I sprayed it on the enclosed card, on my wrist, and my daughter sprayed it and walked through the mist. We both thought it smelled like wood pulp and pickles. Needless to say I return this one and had a seamless return experience.

I love the concept of having clean ingredients. I really am big on woodsy smells. When I first got the items, I smelled all of them. At first I was put off because I wasn't expecting the scents that I smelled. But I am so glad that they had the sample tube in the box. Once I wore it around for a day, I fell in love. The next few days I had to wear it daily. Is actually a really nice scent and I am pleasantly surprised yet pleased. I will be ordering again from this company.

One of my favorites, it smells just like the original. This is the perfume I have gotten the most compliments on and it truly lasts all day. At first it kind of smells like pickles to me, but in a not bad way- and then it settles and it smells really good. It truly is one of Dossier's best dupes.

Hey, fans of Santal 33, this is for you. Really. If you've been skimping on baby food and fresh vegetables for the kids in order to save up to buy yourself a bottle of nice smelling perfume, go ahead and buy that organic kale and a bottle of Woody Sandalwood instead. You don't need Santal 33 anymore. Dossier's Woody Sandalwood is the real deal. Plus, once you try it, you may branch out and experiment with Dossier's original blends. Caramelized Lavender and Hazelnut smells awesome.

Smells near-identical to Santal 33. I get compliments all the time. It lasts about 4hrs, but Im ok with that- reapplying fragrance is a refreshing sensory experience. It also gives you an opportunity to switch fragrances if you dont want the scents to overlap.
