I had a complicated, love/hate relationship with this scent. It has a clear woody sandalwood layer (go figure, lol), which I liked in comparison to Woody Tobacco, that has a sort of perfumey sweetness to the wood notes. There was this other layer to it though that smelled kind of like a tire on me (maybe leather?). I really wanted a slightly masculine smell for when I'm feeling boss betch, but this was ultimately too masculine. I ended up returning it, but in retrospect, I should have gifted it to my ex. I think it would smell great on the right person!

A nice base fragrance to use when layering scents. Definitely dont need very much, maybe just a spray or two, and it has amazing staying power.... Lasts a very long time. I find it a bit to strong for me to use on its own, so I usually spray directly on my skin before getting dressed and then layer on a lighter fragrance (like Citrus Green Apple) once Im dressed. Smells warm and cozy, reminds me of a campfire, good for all seasons. I can see (smell) why its Unisex, as I feel like a man might be able to carry it better as a focal scent. I have never used the Le Labo Santal 33, so I dont know how closely this one matches.

I originally ordered this for myself but it just didnt suit me. I love it on others but I just didnt smell like me. I told my daughter I bought a new bottle and wasnt crazy about it, she suggested returning it until I told her what it was... she immediately got so excited and said she and my other daughter were both hoping to someday afford the real thing. I gave it to them (adults, 25 and 27 and live together)and they were thrilled! I dont think it deserves any stars off for my preference issue. It is still a great perfume and they are enjoying it a lot!!!

The fragrance has a sour, almost pickle-like element to it when you first spray it but that goes away after a few minutes to an hour on your skin before it settles into a nice woody scent. It does lean a bit too masculine for me though, so keep that in mind if you're someone who typically prefers feminine scents. I think I'd prefer this for a home candle scent versus a personal fragrance.

Shocked at how similar it smells to Santal 33! If youre in the market for an affordable perfume, this is the place to purchase. I have to give this a two star review for my experience using it. The perfume gave me a skin rash that lasted two days. Ended up giving it to a friend :( Still worth a purchase for anyone curious to try! It just didnt work out for me.

This smell is not a usual one, rather offbeat and wasn't sure how I liked it. Just after 10 mins of applying it, it grew on me and I just loved it!! This is so refreshing, original and different and stands out, got so many compliments when I wore this.

I smelled Woody Sandalwood on a friend and could not stop sniffing her. It was a bit awkward, I admit. So I ran home and promptly ordered a bottle for myself, and it has not disappointed. People sniff me like I am a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies, or after a fresh rain in the forest.

I have a hard time with most perfumes because they give me headaches or just don't feel very me (bi lady with "I do all the home repairs" vibes but occasionally dabbles in my femme side). I had tried the Le Labo Santal at a friends house and liked it but it just wasn't quite right. I ordered this one but honestly didn't have the highest of hopes. This is absolutely perfect. I want to bathe in it. Everyone tells me I smell amazing everywhere I go. My whole family passionately hates perfume. I'm currently visiting them for a wedding and every one of them has sprayed it all over themselves already. I'm so glad I found my scent!

Im sure the original fragrance smells wonderful but I dont even need to try. This fragrance by Dossier is my favorite. I have a very sensitive nose and some other fragrances give me headaches. I could smell this all day and it would make me happy. Love love love!
