I am reviewing woody sandalwood. I had high hopes for it knowing what a real mysore sandalwood smells like. This wasnt even a millimeter close. Smelled chemical and just had no staying power. Infact this is true for every perfume i tried with dossier. I dont think i am interested in trying any other perfume for this very reason. The sandalwood I was expecting was something like radio bombay or Mysore sandalwood wood soap. I havent tried santal 33 but surely know how sandalwood smells. I will be returning it.

Wow, i recently purchased this fragrance, a long with two others. I've owned or smelled the 3 inspired fragrances purchased. This one just absolutely blew my mind. I have been a Huge fan of Santal 33 for quite some time now, and when i ordered this fragrance, i was honestly not expecting much. At first spray, i was hooked, consider my mind blown!!! It's almost identical to the OG. I cannot stop thanking you for this offering, my wallet thanks you too.

perfection. loved the original in the store. saw dossier on tik tik and decided to try my 4 all time favorite scents. to purchase 4 scents for less than the cost of ONE of my favorites is crazy. so far, i have only used the amber saffron and cannot be happier. more compliments, lasts all day and is not overpowering! one down and three to go ...

I found the smell intoxicatingly luxurious and lasted more than I expected. This perfume exceeded my expectations and will be purchasing other products. My husband could keep his hands off me during date night and I can only attribute it to the perfume. Ladies, dont miss out!

I was so excited to get this due to the rave reviews over it's more expensive "inspiration". This scent was the whole reason I placed my first Dossier order. Once i received it, this one was the first I had to sample out of the three I purchased...and I was almost instantly disappointed. On it's own, I like it, but I don't love it. It almost seems like there is a note missing, like, the finish of the scent is incomplete and not satisfying. I am a huge fan of woody fragrances, but this one, while definitely woody, was missing a slight hint of sweetness to round it out. I started layering this over a mild vanilla or amber body cream, and that made a world of difference. When I do that, this becomes an amazing, cozy, cashmere-in-the-woods- like scent, and I get tons of compliments on my little concoction. I would buy this again for layering.

I have a wide variety of fragrances in my collection and cannot stop reaching for this one. Gorgeous on it's own, but plays so well with others. I love to enhance it with Musky Musk (Juliet Has A Gun Not A Perfume) and Citrus Green Apple (D&G's Light Blue). I have been stopped on the street when wearing all 3 and told I smell divine. If you like versatile, earthy scents that pair well with fresh citrus then this is a must-have.

I love this scent! When I initially applied it, I wasnt sure what to think, because I immediately detected the dill note and my senses didnt know how to process it. After I wore it a while, I started to appreciate the overall scent blend and now I keep coming back to it. The sandalwood brings together the woody and green notes and gives me the feeling of quiet, comfortable luxury. Well done!

Smells exactly like Santal 33. I do pick up on the initial hit of pickle but it's been awhile since I used the original so I can't say for sure that the pickle scent was or was not present. However, it smells exactly like I remember it, so it must have either been present before or my detection of it now is entirely hinged upon suggestions presented by fellow reviewers here, which seems the most plausible scenario to me. Anyway, bottom line: I love it, great dupe! 10/10

Sweeter smelling than Santal 33. Doesnt throw or last very long, and lacks the complexity and layers of other fragranceskind of one note. Has that cheaper perfume alcohol/chemical lingering smell that Le Labo does not, which makes sense given the price point difference. Smelled it on someone else and loved it, so I ordered it! But kind of disappointed with how it smells on me and how it wears.

After a bit of a misfire on the first fragrance I ordered (it was a blind buy and the scent was simply not for me), Dossier kindly exchanged that first purchase for this one. Woody Sandalwood is a very faithful interpretation of the original Le Labo scent. Frankly, I think Dossier's is better. The original had an odd mint-like note on me (which I wasn't wild about), and Dossier's does not. For me, that's definitely a win. The scent is long-lasting and not something you smell on 100 other people you meet. Well done!
