I have used TurboTax for well over a decade. I was disappointed in this year's version. I have a full-time housekeeper and had to file paper copies of the W2 and W3. If I can file my return electronically, why can't I also file these forms electronically? I also had problems with reporting my required minimum distribution (RMD). I believe I only entered the information once, but TurboTax created a form indicating that my RMD was twice the actual amount and assessed me the requisite penalty. The penalty remained even when I tried deleting and re-entering my RMD information. I had to go into the form and manually delete the excess payment and penalty information. TurboTax also does not question whether there are duplicate entries when entries are made that are identical to information already imported. TurboTax is good, but there is a lot of room for improvement.

I've used TurboTax for so many years. At least 20 or more and it has always been my go-to when doing my taxes whether for personal or business. I remember back in the day, the little videos that were in the software to assist you along the way. And that little audio jingle. But with all that aside, I would highly recommend TurboTax to any and all who desire to do their own taxes and want to learn about the savings and deductions that are available to all working and retired people.

It went as well as I expected. Your hidden fees are annoying as ever.... you really should be up front with those instead of buried in minutia and only displayed in full just before sending the returns off. I pay for the dog-gone software...hitting me or anyone else with FEES at the end is robbery of a sort, and you know t.

I had received a rejection (IND-417). After spending the afternoon trying to figure out what the issue was only to find out that there was nothing wrong with my return. Thank a lot TT. Even last year your program had glitches that I had to fix. I've been using TT for over a decade; next year I will use someone else. Bye TT. UPDATE: Rejected AGAIN. I won't use Turbo Tax again!

Easy to file for the entire family. Confidence that it will be up to date and find every option that will get a good return. Always a few changes from year to year, but easy to search for the information needed to get where I need be and use the correct forms.

I like many of the features of Turbo Tax - especially that I am able to download the previous year's return to compare. I don't like that I need to upgrade my computer software every year. And eventually get a new computer to be able to run Turbo Tax. I think the advertisement for a "free premium upgrade" is scammy. I had to call into the Help line to understand it, and found that with the Turbo Tax version I already bought, that "free" upgrade would not give me any benefit.

Been using Turbo Tax for years. Love it except for one thing. When do the final review, it says that I need to "deal with a few things". They have been things I don't know anything about, nor what answers are required. So I just submit it anyway (without settling your issues) and it makes no difference. It's just a little annoying.

I use Turbo Tax every year. My main issue is it isn't easy to navigate to some areas or find certain details. I wanted to see all my Capital Gains in one place to review each one - I didn't see how to do this. I want to have Turbo Tax walk me through all of my answers as if I was starting a new return but I have to click on each subject in edit mode to see the questions and answers - it would be nice to just click and be sent to each page automatically. I wonder if some confusions are on purpose in order to get people to sign up for assistance?

This year's product failed to request our PINs from the IRS and the returns were rejected. Fortunately I submitted with 2 days to go, but if I had waited there could have been a serious issue. Including PINs is required - why would your product have submitted without them? Very disappointing.

the software does not do quality checks. Just discovered that my state return was filed with error. Turbo tax never cross-checked my residency with the fact that w2 showed lower amount of wages for my residency state. Or at least could have raised it as a red flag.
