It was exasperating. Even such highly simple things such as entering my credit card information was impossible. My card expires in September, but I COULD NOT enter "09". How ridiculous is that? There were many, many more miserable experiences with the program. I am not happy with it.

I have used Turbo Tax for years to complete my returns. Overall, I was pleased with Turbo Tax 2025 desktop. It is easy to download and navigate. The step-by-step instructions are thorough. I did have to call support this year, and while they were helpful when I finally got through, the phone wait time was too long. The chat bot was not useful at all. The final product produced seems accurate, and the e-filing process was very easy. I marked it down due to significant issues I encountered with the foreign tax credit data entering and computations. It caused me to have to start my return over when I was almost done.

As I'm winding down my business, my Schedule F doesn't use as many of the lines as I had in prior years. Turbo wouldn't let me leave those categories blank, and I had to put in zeroes for each one I was no longer using. Even then, it wouldn't always "take" all the zero entries I input on the first try. Aggravating. The biggest issue isn't with you, but the constant escalation of the tax laws. Grrrr.

Had two separate issues with the software that I had to call tech support. The first tech was able fix the problem by running a program update. This issue could have been avoided if the software would have offered to check for updates when I started the program - something that TTax used to automatically do in years past. The second issue did not get resolved but I did a work around. When trying to pay for E-filing, in the popup screen, I couldn't advance past month 08 when entering my credit card expiration date. Thirdly, on my laptop, I could shrink the main TTax screen using ctrl -/+ but when I went to E-file, The popup screen did not allow me to shrink or move the screen to be able to see everthing.

TurboTax still does not generate a LA form 10606 for out-of-state income despite repeated requests to do so over the last several years. It must be done manually. This is ironic, since one of the worksheets has exactly the information needed to fill out the form. Any reason why TurboTax continues to refuse to address this issue?

Turbo Tax has gone down hill since I stare using it. There were a few items in investments that were so unclear as to how to file it. There were things on my 1099B that were not options on the Turbo Tax forms. I also don't understand why I couldn't upload supporting documents to my return instead of having to mail them.

Many good experiences over maybe 10 or more years using. However, Turbo Tax could NOT handle 1095A Insurance marketplace form and the subsequent Form 8962 because two persons (my son and his daughter) were insured. The daughter got married and was no longer a 2025 dependent. Information was complete and entered for both,; as well as a percentage of total fees divided amongst the two insureds. However, Turbo Tax could not reconcile the errors it projected (not existent) and we were required to file by mail. We had already paid the $25 Colorado e-filing fee. Please credit us this fee to use on my own return to be filed for 2025. Thank you!

I've been using TurboTax for years and I really enjoy it. Some things I have to be careful with and make sure I bounce back and forth between the forms and the walk-through guide but in general I am always satisfied. A really good comprehensive platform. I plan to use in perpetuity!

I have been using Turbo Tax since it was first offered (1980's). There have been hiccups at times, but overall I found it a great tool. However, this year somehow the MA NR/PY return showed that I had made estimated payments to the state. I tried everything I could to fix that, and had to talk to an expert (Quatrella). She did her best, but the final result was that I have to file my MA NR/PY return for 2025 either by mailing it in or using the Mass TaxConnect software. I'll be shopping around for something else. Worked well for Federal.

i have used turbo tax for years. It works well for me and my company. However, last year we go hacked and lost everything. My back up was also compromised and useless. Also, we changed to windows 11 and the turbo tax would not download. The lady at turbo tax walked me through all of it and got it downloaded just fine. So, it worked well for me again. Just did not have old files to bring forward. So, make sure you have good back up. Thanks to the lady at Turbo tax. stan
