I am appalled at the cost of e-filing through Turbo Tax. Then, after I asked it to print my returns for the filing cabinet, it only printed the summary. 45 minutes later, I am still trying to print something that looks like a tax return. I will not be using turbo tax after this year.

As I have for several years, I purchased my download of the Turbo Tax 2025 after having received and organized my tax documents and all foreseeably necessary documents. I downloaded the program, entered data, double checked, and submitted my taxes smoothly. The download was completely compatible with my desktop and OS. Working with the program was convenient and easy.

The help files did not bring up information as it has done in the past regarding how to enter a specific document into the tax form. I was repeatedly asked to login then pay for accessing any information. I ended up using Google to find the answer- which was linked to a Turbo Tax file. I made sure to bookmark the answer for future reference.

We were disappointed with how buggy this version of TurboTax is. There were three significant problems. 1. When we tried to import our financial data, everything was attributed to the Taxpayer, even if it belonged to the Spouse, and the numbers were not always correct. We had to delete the imported data and re-enter everything by hand. 2. The state tax review seems to think that Taxpayer and Spouse live in different tax areas. Taxpayer and Spouse have always cohabited and are cohabiting currently. This error could not be corrected, no matter what we did. 3. The state tax piece did not let us apply our refund toward our 2026 estimated taxes, as we have been able to do in the past. We were unable to find out whether or not this was a new state rule. We have directed that our refund be direct deposited instead, which will cause us some financial hardship, as we will not get the refund until after the first estimated tax payment is due.

I transferred from a Microsoft 10 platform to an Apple Mac a few months prior to starting tax return. Had a terrible time. I had to resurrect the old PC, go through all f the Microsoft updates I missed in order to download the data file. Mac had trouble with he software and it took hours to get the program to run on it. The revised program might be written for new customers. It is difficult to get into sections for changes without a lot of hassle. Was continually annoyed by nagging to buy the $60 help package... If I had known what a pain it was going to be, I would be hesitant to purchase it. Previous editions were much easier to operate and carry over previous years data. Hope you improve next year. I will peruse reviews first before buying again.

deceptive and tricked me to purchase a service that i never needed, wanted or even will need since i was past the need part to checking out, now i am being double charged for services that i do not need or use and if you are not going to refund my purchase, i will end up cancelling all additional services ordered and call my card to dispute the charges.

1) TurboTax for Wisconsin does not explain Wisconsin Schedule SB Form 1 - Subtractions from Income, line 16 Retirement Income subtraction (credits restricted) very well. The restricted credits should be compared with taking the subtraction - for a married couple both receiving retirement income, the subtraction is $48,000! That makes a HUGE difference of about $2,000 savings in our case. 2) The printed instructions for mailing an amended return for Wisconsin have an incomplete mailing address, which does NOT include the city, state nor ZIP code.

I have used TurboTax for over 20yrs now. This year's version is the worst I've ever encountered. Multiple coding issues. Nothing that affected accuracy. Just causing more work than needed. For instance, after entering in a 1099-R (retirement) form, although I had answered NO to a Canadian Pension, it still opened the form and insisted on required fields. I had to back out and delete the form to proceed. (I know it wasn't a mistype on my part, as it occurred twice, once when I did a joint return and again when checking to see if MFS would make our tax situation better.) I also live in a RITA local city, thus required to file a local tax form. Prior to this year, TurboTax did not automatically fill in the form, which is perfectly fine, as you can enter your tax information directly on the RITA site for e-filing. But since many documents do not populate local tax information, TurboTax had issues with those empty fields. Again, lots of unnecessary work on my part. Please, Intuit… get better coders (and better-quality control). Maybe ones not overly reliant on AI for their work.

I have been a user of the desktop version of TurboTax Home & Office for several years. I find the product easy to use, the support provided is petty good although I do find the need to review federal and state publications for clarification. The pop up explanations are very helpful in terms of directing my efforts. This years Fidelity interface was terrible,downloads via Fidelity were impossible.couldn't make it work. No issues with Vanguard or Schwab. You lack interfaces with the regional banks I use. I miss not having Its Deductible information to value non cash donations.

Updates are very late. No support when the software or payment with Intuit messes up. Just a typical company that has horrible customer service. Lots of upselling. Not happy with this company, but I'll give it one more chance to get some sort of customer service. Unbelievably difficult.
