(1) After entering a 1099-NEC the Deluxe version recommended upgrading to Home & Business, but allowed me to continue. While still entering on Income screens after every 'Continue' selection a message would pop-up to go back and correct an error. I went all the way back, no errors found. I exited and deleted the tax form. When I started a new return, when I received the upgrade notice on the 1099-NEC I upgraded. After upgrade the problem never reappeared. (2) I only completed 4 returns, but the software is indicating I submitted 5. I'm guessing it is counting the return I couldn't complete and deleted.

The program does what it is supposed to do, but it is relentless in trying to upsell services I don't need. Expert advice I don't need. Audit defense I don't need. State filings I don't need. I tell it "NO", but it comes back again and again to be told no again and again. I feel like I need a restraining order. Add in that it locked me out of filing until I ran ANOTHER update, which Microsoft kept shutting down. In the end I needed an hour to click a "file" button for a return already completed. Very annoying to file a simple federal tax return.

User friendly than the last yr version. Easy to navigate to a specific topic and then return to the last place where you left to continue Turbo Tax. Well organized and cohesive for easy reference and review. And the reports are great for future reference and continuous improvements.

Your software has quirks, it asked me to use scanned copies of my 1099R's and I wasn't able to do it immediately and then I couldn't get back to that option. That stinks. Don't offer stuff like that! Additionally, there are other quirks like in error check where it complains that blocks filled out from the process have too many characters. If the form is filled out correctly, that error shouldn't even happen. But, it has happened for at least the last 10 years to me always in the K1's. And, if I don't want your expert help, my answer of no is definitive, don't offer that stuff again. If I change my mind I can figure that out on my own.

I've used Turbo Tax for years and have always been pleased with the results. Although I am a tax profession, it it very user friendly and I think most people would be able to follow along and use it. I've never had the IRS come back to audit me and the only issues I've had have been of my own misunderstandings.

Well Turbo-tax software is like a cheap crappy lawyer who constantly wants to upsale you more and more services. Would you like this service? Maybe this service? I know I'm supposed to be accurate and super duper easy to use. But, you may want this service to check your return, or this service for insurance, or this service to predict the return of Christ in the new year. Its almost as annoying as being asked CONSTANTLY to complete a review with a buggy web interface, because the company wants to spend more money on corporate bonuses and salaries than implementing a solid product.

While I have used the product faithfully over the past 30 years. Intuit assumed everyone would only opt for the cloud version, NOT ME. I wanted the downloadable version and the management team made it near impossible to find the downloadable version. I think their practice of moving everyone to a cloud based solution is for the birds.

I've been using it since it's beginnings and truth to tell the user interface has declined dramatically in the past three years. Navigating forward and backward in the program used to be intuitive. Now it is so clunky it slows me down tremendously.

I still wish the cd's were still available for purchase. Even if there was an upcharge option, I would still be interested in purchasing. I am worried that after 3 years, I won't be able to access my taxes, and I will still have to print out everything and keep it for forever.

Little improvement from one year to another. Lacks plain English clarification for many topics. Fails to recall how some questions were answered in previous years, forcing user to research same information on an annual basis. Would be more helpful if it frequently provided guidance, such as: "Last year your responded". At other times the software highlights a yes or no response, which has no relationship as to my personal answer. In these cases it should not default to an answer which is potentially incorrect.
