This was a TERRIBLY frustrating experience. The explanations of what the questions were asking for was not adequate, the BACK button doesn't always take you back to the previous page - sometimes it takes you completely out of the section you were just in and you have to start all over. The submission for taxes was really irritating - it actually will NOT let you file if you don't have everything the program is asking for and when you try to fix it you have to delete the form and start over. Then, when you finally DO get everything fixed and you try to file, you get an ERROR MESSAGE saying that you've already reached the maximum number of filings (up to 5) when you haven't even gotten a single filing submitted. Nope. This was a freaking nightmare and next year I will just hire an accountant. I will say, the people I actually dealt with were exceptional in every way.

I'd give it 2-stars (or less), but I was able to complete taxes using the "Forms" option; which is slower and more complicated than Easy Step. From one of the updates on (because you're forced to keep updating), it would randomly "hit a snag." I've relied on TurboTax for many, many years and this is the first time I'm not confident that everything is correct.

I have used Turbo Tax since 2020. The only glitch i found was with the required health insurance. My husband was on my insurance and had coverage the entire year but the software didn't recognize that. Other people had the same issue. We filed and never had a problem.

With WIsconsin a sales transaction that was reported on 1099-B on Federal taxes, but erroneously required the sale to be reported on Sub form QI, for form WB. The $15 gain was not a result of selling a Wisconsin Qualified business, but didn't all me to enter zero, it required a negative number. On the form it should be <= to zero.

I have found TurboTax to be very helpful for doing my personal, small business, and real estate taxes with the Personal and Business product. However, the federal is much more precise than the state. I would give it 5 stars if it imported (or filled out my schedule C) from QuickBooks Online. I also found it frustrating this year that it did not save my file when I came back to finish up and the program asked to update first. That completely lost all the data I had entered.

I really like turbo-tax and have been using it since the early 2000's. I sometimes have to question what it is asking and if it is placing items in the correct location. If you aren't experienced with completing personal taxes, this could be a problem.

Turbo Tax is not as easy to use as it used to be. It used to give you more information on any extra forms that needed to be filled out and now it doesn't do that. I had to go to IRS.gov and print out instructions and complete the worksheet myself to fill the line Turbo Tax said I was missing.

After so many years with TurboTax, I did get very frustrated this year. Several factors, including: 1- Deductions for non-child disabled elderly parents are no longer available, or so severely limited by the new government regime that only the rich and upper middle class can take the deduction. 2- It took me 2 days to try to get the forms transmitted since there was a 1095-A document that was not correctly completed by the respective insurance company, causing a loop in the software. 3- Re: #2 above, I contacted the live support and back and forth removing the form, reloading it several times, finding that the 3 columns need to have correct data, but PENNIE only entered columns A and B. 4- Live support was excellent, and I strongly suggest using the team since our corrupt government is too busy stealing from the poor to enrich the billionaires, as they continue to remove deductions for the poor and middle class.

Software still is not recognizing that Options trading is different from stock trading. A covered Call can be sold with a negative cost basis. Sell To Open may be $10, but then the covered option moves In the Money causing the Buy To Close be $12, therefore an option having a -$2 cost basis. This causes 100's of errors in the software to review before submitting, and creating unnecessary work.

the 1099 imports failed many times and it took days before I could tune the security from internet, browser and local permission. it would post security risk if I forget which control to revert back after finishing imports too. Why you can not simply implementing import 1099 from the files downloaded directly from the bank to local?
