I had two returns that would not electronically file because your software said i had errors. I entered the information correctly from the forms. Your software said that it was wrong. It was not wrong but there was no getting past it. Your software allows to receive a check and I have someone that does not give out their banking information, Well the IRS sent them a form and said that they could not give them a refund. That makes me look stupid. Not sure if next year I will be using turbo tax software.

I have been using TurboTax for several years, and I have always been extremely satisfied. The program is very user-friendly and makes filing my taxes almost (note the almost) a pleasure. I can't believe the time and effort it used to take to file my taxes before TurboTax. It was a headache that lasted days. Now, even with two businesses to include and complicated investments, I can easily do my taxes in one day. And I know that TurboTax will highlight and find deductions that would have been hidden from me in the past

Long time Turbotax customer. Former CD version was cusstomer friendly, easily could ask simple questions. Not anymore unless paying another $60. Asking the community takes days for a response. I bought the desktop format last year and this year. I didn't like using it last year and this year was even worse. I will be shopping with your compeditor next tax season. Shame on TurboTax for changing a good product thus losing a customer and all of my friends and family customers.

The Alabama state tax computation never seems to be accurate. I have to do a detail review every year and figure out how to fix. This year it did not handle our Roth conversions correctly. It was adding them to the 1099-R resulting in double taxing.

This year it was easy to use TurboTax, just like it has been in the past. As I was entering the information, the dashboard was showing a tax amount that I did not think was correct. Later I saved a copy of the forms, and then I could see the details behind that tax amount, and it was all correct. Unfortunately, TurboTax has followed Microsoft to declare that Windows 10 must not be used. That is such nonsense, because Windows 10 still works just fine. I noticed that the H-R Block software can be used on Windows 10, and for that reason I did consider switching, but finally decided to stay with TurboTax. It is getting hard to find TurboTax in a local store, and I had to ask for it.

I have used and loved TurboTax for over 20 years, recommending it and teaching others how to do their taxes using this software. This year, I was quite disappointed. Data was left out of imported records - almost all financial investment imports. Had I not reviewed in depth each form, I may not have noticed and had real trouble with the IRS for under reporting. It took so much time to go back, login to each account again, save and print 1099s to manually add missing data for most 1099s. It also retained the Investment 1099s from last year rather than updating so I had to go back and figure out what forms needed to be deleted. The HSA import didn't correctly bring in distributions as qualified non-taxable and never asked for review which would have resulted in taxable income rather than non-taxable. My lack of trust in the product had me reviewing every single document and line item from my tax forms and return to ensure accuracy. This was definitely not worth the money spent and took much, much more time than it should have.

When trying to import my financial statements the screen did not change when I hit the allow button. It was only after I mimnized the screen that I saw the documents queued up for import. I would change that to go to the second screen automatically.

Did not update the sections as I went along. I would "save" for the day and return to it, only to find that the refund amount was different. In addition, when I came back what I saved, it would take me to a form that didn't include all that I had finished the day before. I had to search for a copy of what I had actually finished, without any idea of where to find the most up-to-date form. It would turn out that there were multiple copies saved, rather than each save writing over what had been saved before to ensure that when I came back to it, there would be only one copy, the most recent.

If you have to leave the step by step instructions process it is extremely difficult to get back to the same place with the same questions to be answered. I had extreme difficulty with QBI (I wanted to make sure that I understood it completely) and Form 4835. At first I was unable to complete Form 4835 because it was still being worked on by the IRS, THEN I never received notification from Turbo Tax that the Form was available. It then took several hours to get the numbers input correctly. I had originally input directly on the Form 4835 then attempted to go back and create the form via step by step. I should have never input directly on to the Form 4835. Reconciliation to step by step was a nightmare.
