I have been using Turbotax for many years. It is reliable and guides me through the process of filing efficiently and intelligently. I have confidence the results over the years I have used. It is easy to iteract with and the reference explanations are clear and concise. I will use it again next year. it is a fine product.

The very first time I opened TurboTax to work on my tax filing prep, the very first task I came to was the W2/1099 NEC/1099 MISC. The instructions were wrong, telling me to input each date I paid out a subcontractor, even though I had paid out the same subcontractor 28 times in 2025. Secondly, there was a link right below the 1099 NEC "see an example". When I clicked on it a window opened that stated "there is no content to the context" Bogus!!!

Turbo Tax is very easy to use. I have used it for years and still use the interview option for new situations. I have confidence in this product. I wish that it would take the info directly from older accounting programs. That is very frustrating. I have needed to hand enter all the amounts for several years now. I hope they clear it up as it seems like a money grab.

This year's version of TurboTax for Home & Business was difficult to use and was not very intuitive. I am a CPA & use TurboTax for my personal returns. Quite a few (more than past years) business topics were not clear and difficult to understand. For instance, there was no clear indication of the Safe Harbor election for expensing rather than depreciating business assets less than $2,500. The questions surrounding this topic were very unclear and not intuitive to the user.

I have been using Turbo Tax since the late 1990's and have always been impressed with how you can't out think it, meaning if your unsure or don't like where it's going you can just go back and try a different approach. As long as you stay in their guidelines your going to be OK. My wife has had a business for many years, there were many times when I thought I was in over my head doing her taxes ( Home office, Business expenses, Her phone & vehicle use for the business, Depreciating assets for the business ) and had many questions. I did have to seek some outside advise but to my surprise I could always navigate these with Turbotax help. The interview approach is amazing and uncomplicates things, making a very intimidating task posible. I don't need to be a tax expert. Turbotax dose that for me. I have never been audited but I do always get the Audit insurance. Great for piece of mind. Thanks Dan

2 ISSUES WITH THIS PROGRAM THIS YEAR.. PROBLEM CARRYING OVER 2024 TAXES FROM WINDOW 10 COMPUTER TO WINDOW 11 COMPUTER. HAD TO MANUALLY ENTER SCHEDULE C INFORMATION. PROBLEM WITH 1099R SENT TO ME WRONG AND TURBO TAX DIDN'T CATCH IT WAS MISSING LINE 16. STILL HATE THE WAY WE HAVE TO ENTER THE 1099 INV AND DIV ETC. GO BACK TOO THE WAY WE DID IT 5 YEARS AGO!

By far, the most difficult and disappointing experience I have had in the over 10 year period that I have used Turbotax. The push to online usage is so obviously meant to increase what is an unclear, more expensive cost structure that it feels almost like a scam. This version of Home and Business is second only to the Business version I had to also use in the past which was virtually more of a hindrance than an aid. There even appear to be some obvious glitches. Out of nowhere, a Canadian retirement information screen came up after I had chosen none was required - and then it had to be deleted. Part of my 1099-INT was duped - and both had to be deleted. My discouragement with the desktop version this year is not going to encourage me to transition to online at a higher price - it is sadly encouraging me to look to a competitor. If I needed to pay a professional, I would do so with a non-virtual person.

More difficult to use this year. Problems downloading documents. Finally figured it out from a help forum. This all important feature should work from the get-go, no from having to make a browser change. Also, not being able to upload a PDF and pull the info from it for 1099-DIV's. This is for documents you cannot import from the institution.

The program is less flexible than last year and brings in numbers and information from who knows where. I tried to edit these things but cannot find the source anymore. Additionally, the help feature stinks. Before it was nice to hit the F1 key when on a field and get some help text but now that feature has been eliminated. Furtherore, any help requires you be connected to the internet. Bad Bad Bad. Its gotten to the point that I feel I have to buy the Audit Defense to feel safe because I don't trust what the program is doing or some of the things it does. I'm stuck with it because of carryback and carryforeward information that I have no ideal where its getting it from outside of the previous years use.

Mostly great, but there is no way to Enter SEP IRA. Also all the instructions both within the product and online about how to find where to enter SEP IRA are completely wrong and have been for years. People keep giving you guys feedback and you just keep posting the same wrong answer. Frustrating. Otherwise decent product.
