First time to do an amended return. It was confusing to file. I appears that it was all filed electronically, to include the IRS and state debiting the same bank account that was previously used for refunds. But your instructions said I had to print, write a check, and mail the amended return. Which is it? Pick one and then be clear about it. I am not sure where I stand on being done. Leaves me questioning TurboTax. Not good.

I've used Turbo Tax for many years, and this is the first year that it has been made more complicated than it needed to be. It's ridiculous that they did this on purpose, because they want you to pay the $60 for a tax advisor. I didn't fall for their crap. I don't recommend this at all.

Very unhappy that your latest tax software wouldn't run on my 6 year old Apple MacBook Pro laptop, so I had to upgrade it at significant expense. Every American should support the Fair Tax Act (HR25), a bill in Congress to eliminate the IRS, eliminate all Federal Income Taxes, and implement a National Sales Tax. I have been using this program for years and this was the most buggy version I have seen. It did work in the end but given that I am not only work in the financial arena and also manage a team of Software Developers for a mid size bank and yet I still had issues completing my taxes says a lot. To add insult in injury, I always buy the home and business version and this year, I had to buy another version to complete my mothers estate taxes Ironically, it appears that the cost of the Turbo Tax Version I needed was more than the taxes owed.

By far using Turbo Tax has been the best method of preparing my tax returns. One year I decided to try a professional tax preparer and the method used was exactly the same as Turbo Tax. After that I never went back I have bee doing my own tax return for over 20 years.

Accuracy guarantee - they were wrong on calculations due to bug in their software, and I had to amend because of them this year. Paid over $100 for software, had to spend hours getting the software to work again, and only got a $30 check for my troubles

The were a couple of bugs in the program that bothered me. First of all, I rent a farm, but that is not my mail buisness. I only had on 1099-MISC, but it asked me to fill one out 3 different times. It also wanted the farm info in my Schedule C, which was fine, but it conflicted with some of the other stuff pertaining to my primary buisness. i had to create a second Schedule C. Also, I had to pay in, and it is the 15th so my check was due in the Post Office today. But, by the time I got everything done, they were closed. So, for the first time, I chose to e-file so they would get my "check" in time. I normally will take everything to the post office and send it certified mail. That way I have a receipt showing the date I dropped it off. So, since I e-filed this time with the auto-debit, I was going to print out the screen showing the date and time I sent it. But, when I went to try to print it, the program's screen switched and said it may take up o 48 hours before the IRS processes. That is fine as long as there is a record of me sending it on time. And, of the time I am typing this (4-15 at 10::05 p.m.) I still havn't found how to get back to the original data screen I was wanting to print out.

I am disappointed that this version of Turbo Tax did not import my information from my 2024 return. I have been using TT since 1985. It always imported personal information before. Also, when I imported Mutual Fund data from Quicken, it imported all the funds transactions, leading me to believe I owed $83,000+ in federal taxes. I had to delete forms and start over

I like many of the features of Turbo Tax - especially that I am able to download the previous year's return to compare. I don't like that I need to upgrade my computer software every year. And eventually get a new computer to be able to run Turbo Tax. I think the advertisement for a "free premium upgrade" is scammy. I had to call into the Help line to understand it, and found that with the Turbo Tax version I already bought, that "free" upgrade would not give me any benefit.

Things I hate about using turbo tax is 1. my dad helped me file my taxes and you made us both buy separate copies of your software. That is not how you advertise it. 2. The donation calculator is no longer included, and we had to list the cost of all our donations manually. 3. You charge extra for state preparation and for electronic filing. After we paid so much for the software you nickel and dimed us for another couple hundred more.
