I have used Turbo Tax since 2020. The only glitch i found was with the required health insurance. My husband was on my insurance and had coverage the entire year but the software didn't recognize that. Other people had the same issue. We filed and never had a problem.

The INTEREST/DIVIDEND/INVESTMENT SECTION IS RIDICULOUS TIDEOUS AND SO CONFUSING. PLEASE REVERT BACK AS IT WAS BEFORE 2023. Also, in 2025 i could NOT import my data from my investment accounts!!!! I tried everything! For some reason, TT kept feezing this year as well and ALSO shut down and gave me an error that data could not be saved. SO many inconsistancy's this year. I am very disappointed.

It has been a bit of a learning curve using TuboTax Home & Business desktop version. This was my second year using it to prepare my forms and e-filing. I had less questions this second time. It works great and it is a great tool for those who do not want to use a CPA or tax-preparing store. But there is some room for improvement to make things a little easier for users to navigate.

Up sales are too aggressive. Income summary would be helpful to include the calculated "Provisional Income" amount. Not possible to evaluate the Accuracy. The only way I know of is to pay a professional to review what Turbo Tax calculates or to get a nasty gram from IRS or State of IL about an error. Feature to import the Reported Income Transcript from the IRS web site to see if any income items were overlooked. I will not be paying the $25 fee for the State Filing. That fee is excessive. I have three ETF that are collectables and Turbo Tax requires double data entry to enter the cost basis for each of the monthly sales to cover the administration and storage costs

Generally very good tool to lead you through the labyrinth of tax rules and forms. It would improve the product for users to help distinguish between whether farm income and expense is best entered as self-employment or as farm income. The program will let you enter the same information in both areas without any warning that you are double counting.

Your service this year is terrible! Multiple error messages! Multiple freezing up issues with the desktop version! You advertise the heck out of the online version, but that isn't even for small businesses. And then I get all the way to then end of my finishing taxes and TurboTax has a loading issue just to pay the state filing fee! Talk about poor service.

I've been using Turbotax for decades and I would normally give this five stars every time. I use the desktop downloaded version only and this is the review for that version only. I prefer the desktop version because of the ability to switch between step by step and forms and that I can see the running total of my either tax payment or ref for both federal and that I File with. This year was particularly frustrating rental property real estate amortization and appreciation system was not completed in a timely manner. Yes I realize the IRS was and putting out their forms And so that into it had to hustle to try to get this system out and I'm glad got it out finally at least the portion that I needed I know that other people problems that section still So I mean if What I did not appreciate is that Turbotax announced the date that it would come and that date passed and they announced the later date and that date passed and announced the later. Many people were asking in the forums on Intuit site when this would be done and the answer was always well it's coming out it should be out by this date and if you sign up for the email updates you'll get an email this update is ready. But myself included and many other people reported getting an email saying the update was ready Kind of gay like oh you're about to keep when it really wasn't you know and then coming and opening Turbotax finding it still wasn't there That was really frustrating they could have been more clear open and honest about when it was coming out and make sure that their notification system was working people given false hope when they got an email saying hey your updates ready and then finding out that it really was not. Unless the online version of Turbotax becomes almost exactly like the downloaded desktop version I will probably never use the online version so into it has plans to stop producing the online version then I'm gonna have to search for another product.

Software is OK with opportunities to improve: 1. Estimated Taxes: TurboTax should do a better job of assisting with estimating taxes - prefilled fields on current year for each section on the estimate, with an options to adjust... vs just blank fields to fill out that are not even populated with the info already entered, let alone calculated. 2. TurboTax for States is very lacking... I mean, put even 25% of the effort into States as you put into Federal

I absolutely HATE that I need to have an account to use Turbo Tax. I don't want an account, I want no part of my taxes being online (beyond e-file). I detest the fact that an account is required. Furthermore, there is no justifiable to require Windows 11. This must be collusion between Intuit & Microsoft. While I managed to workaround to the Windows 11 requirement, it's yet another completely unnecessary hoop I have to jump through.

Every year my taxes are rejected the first time. it is the same issue every year. Although I don't have children I qualify for a small EIC credit but this requires form 8862 and for some reason turbo tax doesn't automatically fill this form out and I have to go to "open form" , fill out manually, resubmit my taxes.
