I was charged to file state and then couldn't e-file because it didn't like an answer on one of my 1099- g forms so now I have to mail both forms. this is ridiculous, I put in the correct information . I have used turbotax for years but am so frustrated.

Low rating because: 1) It did not import information from the previous year on the downloaded Home and Business Edition. 2) It was not easy to generate a Schedule C 3) It flagged an error that I could not clear because it would not take me back to the part that was entered in error.

I'm a Turbo-Tax customer for over 20+ years. This is the first time that the software failed miserably. 1) The first problem was it wouldn't report what the error was. I contacted Technical Support (twice) for help. Although the technicians diligently worked with me to ascertain what was wrong, they both concluded that I had to start over. 2) During the second attempt, I was not able to IMPORT any of the 1099s from financial institutions for the search mechanism would not report any of the them.

Home and Business has worked flawlessly for many years. This year I had a problem with a message saying, "Hmm, looks like we've hit a snag". "We recommend you revisit last topic.......". It was a bit stressful, but I called Customer support 888-777-4160 and got help right away. Catherine, listened to my issue, viewed my computer remotely, and suggested to shut the program down and reboot. It worked.!!! No further glitches. I have never had an issue in the MANY years of using TurboTax. I was VERY pleased customer support was easily available. Keep up serving the public with a "Live Person" to talk to.

I had to call twice because of the lousy interface with my iOS platform MacBook Pro. The first time was because the tax return I worked on for more than 4 hours completely disappeared after your platform crashed on my TWICE! Fortunately, my MacBook Pro saved a copy. The recovery was so difficult your very pleasant tech had trouble helping me. Ultimately, between, her, me and ChatGPT we were able to obtain it and get it to load back into TurboTax, Your screen does not fully show on my computer making so that I could not hit the "next" or "continue" buttons. Also...it is VERY difficult to find what I needed to do an amendment for a previous year's taxes. Your Youtube video was NOT accurate resulting in my 2nd call to your support folk. The person I got the second time was LESS INFORMED than I was and also very crabby with me. This has truly been the WORST experience I have had working with TurboTax.

I like using both the Online and desktop. Start with Online and finish with Desktop. The desktop is awesome because I can toggle between the Forms and the Steps. And the explanations are more detailed on Desktop. I think it is more accurate using both. I wish I didn't have to pay for both.

I've used TurboTax Home and Business for years filing single, but using TurboTax Home and Business filing married jointly is not exactly straightforward. My wife and I have small businesses and after I input her business information I then had trouble trying to find where to add in my business information. After struggling a bit I finally figured it out, but please make it easier for people to navigate to where they need to be.

I've been using TurboTax for years and I really enjoy it. Some things I have to be careful with and make sure I bounce back and forth between the forms and the walk-through guide but in general I am always satisfied. A really good comprehensive platform. I plan to use in perpetuity!

As I'm winding down my business, my Schedule F doesn't use as many of the lines as I had in prior years. Turbo wouldn't let me leave those categories blank, and I had to put in zeroes for each one I was no longer using. Even then, it wouldn't always "take" all the zero entries I input on the first try. Aggravating. The biggest issue isn't with you, but the constant escalation of the tax laws. Grrrr.

I have been using TurboTax since the days of floppy discs as tax returns became increasingly complex and unmanageable if trying to complete on paper. Overall, with tax code also becoming increasingly complex, I've come to appreciate the accuracy of calculations that need to draw on prior year's data through the present. Interactive features have been appreciated for getting "just in time" help. The fact that TurboTax has also developed compatibility for importing data from many banks and brokerages has been a blessing as 1099 forms and reports become more detailed, and where hand-entry can result in errors. I much appreciate three key interface options TurboTax has for working on the forms and calculations that must be completed. Being able to see the actual forms is sometimes necessary to find and resolve problems and errors - and where I have most appreciated expert help. While the walk-through option comprehensively covers all areas, I prefer the option to choose where I want to go. The internal reporting option almost always captures errors that need correcting and where I sometimes need expert help. The "share screen" function worked flawlessly, to include suppressing personal data that did not need to be part of an expert discussion.
